Hazel Hadeen, 92, passed away on October 24, 2004. She was born June 10, 1912 in Lodgepole, Nebraska to George and Fannie Kilgore Dickinson.
Hazel was the third of 10 children. Only two of her siblings survive her.
On April 10, 1934 Hazel married Herman Hadeen in Sidney, Nebraska. They made their home on his family's farm in the Fairfield community northeast of Haxtun. The couple had four children, Ruby, Harold, Ronald, and Doyle. Following Herman's death in 1972, Hazel moved to Holyoke where she worked at Prairie Vista Nursing Home and for other older people in the area. In 1997 she moved to Haxtun and in 1988 to Heritage Living Center.
Hazel is survived by her children, Ruby and husband John Colelasure, Arvada, Harold and wife Vickie, Haxtun, and Ron and wife Bernice, Lodgepole; her sister Florence Paul, Denver, and a brother Leonard, Lodgepole. Eight grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren also survive her.
She is preceded in death by her husband; son Doyle, her parents; siblings, George W., Billy, Nellie, Alta, Mary, Marion, and Floyd; and grandson Duane Hadeen. Zel was the third of 10 children. Only two of her siblings survive her.
