DIED. At his home in Holyoke, January 19, with lung fever, H.D.Jeffries. Mr. Jeffries was taken violently sick from the first andlived but a few days.
He was one of the early homesteaders of Phillips County and had been living in West Holyoke for several months. He was an active, consistent member of the Christian church and a successful worker in the Sunday School at the time of his death.
He leaves a wife and two sons who have the sympathy of the people of the town in their bereavement. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Moore at the West Holyoke church, Tuesday, and the remains laid away to rest in the Emerson cemetery.
