Funeral Services for Stella Gerard Held Here Last Saturday
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Radford Funeral Home for Mrs. Stella Gerard, age 67, who passed away at her home near Fleming on Wednesday, January 9.
She had been in poor health for the past seven years. Rev. O.A. Gayley, pastor of the Dailey church, was in charge of the services. Music was furnished by Mrs. Harold Yost, pianist and a quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Miller, Ross Frank and Mrs. Kenneth Gordon. Escorts were Charles Boerner, Hubert Pate, Jess Winemiller, Grant Wertz, Ed Lousberg and Ed Boerner. Concluding services and burial were at the Haxtun cemetery.
Stella Ethel Gerard, daughter of Meradith and Martha Bradburn, was born at Rileysburg, Indiana on January 22, 1889. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Gerard at Urbana, Illinois on November 9, 1919 and in 1920 they moved to the Fleming community. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She departed from this life at the family home southeast of Fleming on January 9, 1957.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Mehta of Boulder.
