FRED M. DUDDEN FUNERAL FRIDAY
Funeral services for Fred M. Dudden, 75, of Broadwater, Nebraska, former longtime resident of Northeastern Phillips County, were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 9 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater, with Rev. W.F.U. Churchill officiating.
Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Graveside rites were conducted by members of the Holyoke Masonic Lodge, of which Mr. Dudden had been a member for many years.
Mr. Dudden passed away Tuesday, February 6, at the Oshkosh Community Hospital in Oshkosh, Nebraska, following an extended illness.
A son of Gerd W. and Berhardena Dudden, Fred M. Dudden was born March 18, 1892, in Clay County, Nebraska. He moved to Phillips County, Colorado in 1910 and engaged in farming until moving to Broadwater in 1947. He had resided there since that time.
He was a member of Lodge No. 81 AFAM, Holyoke, and Elks BPOE Lodge No. 1336, Sterling.
Survivors include Sadie Henrickson; two brothers, Barney Dudden, Venango, Nebraska, and George Dudden, Bayard, Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. J.D. Ogden, Papillion, Nebraska; 22 nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mr. Dudden in death were his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
