MRS. ROY HELLER RITES SATURDAY; NATIVE OF COUNTY
Last rites for Mrs. Roy Heller, a lifelong resident of the Holyoke community, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at the Holyoke Baptist church.
Rev. Roland Reed, pastor of the church, officiated at the service. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park with the Lewis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Heller, who was 72 years of age, passed away at about 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at the East Phillips County Hospital. She had been in failing health for several months and entered the hospital on May 25.
A daughter of Andrew C. and Lizzie Poe Cauble, Eunice Idell Cauble was born November 18, 1892, southeast of Holyoke. Her parents were pioneer residents of that area, and her father was one of the first permanent settlers in the Amitie community and in what is now Phillips County.
She was united in marriage to Roy Heller, also a native of Phillips County, on May 12, 1912. To this union five children were born, one of whom survives.
Mr. and Mrs. Heller engaged in farming and made their home northwest of Holyoke for many years before moving to town in 1949.
Mrs. Heller was baptized and became a member of the Holyoke Baptist church on July 11, 1909.
Survivors include her husband, Roy, Holyoke; one son, Leslie L, Haxtun; one brother, Dr. Roy Cauble, Marysville, Kansas; one sister, Mrs. Roy Barnes, Pomona, California; one half-brother, James Cauble, Plainview, Minnesota; two half-sisters, Mrs. Norman Stewart, Holyoke and Mrs. Walter Huey, Sterling; four grandchildren, Shirley, Leslie, Linda and Sharon Heller; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Mrs. Heller in death were her parents; four children, Alfred E., Annabelle, Virginia Lee and Raymond L.; one brother, Otis Cauble; one sister, Effie Cauble; and one grandson, Leslie Leroy Heller.
