MRS. ALBERT HINCK DIES; RITES HERE MONDAY AFTERNOON
Mrs. Albert Hinck, 71, a long-time resident of the Holyoke community, passed away Friday at the Phillips County hospital where she had been a patient a few days.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Holyoke Methodist church, with Rev. Alvah C. Lynch, pastor of the local Baptist church, officiating. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park, with the Lewis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
As Ernastena Belle Hipke, a daughter of Charles and Lena Hipke, Mrs. Hinck was born January 1, 1886, in Colfax County, Nebraska. She attended school at Fremont, Nebraska and continued her higher education there and received a teaching certificate. For 10 years she was a school teacher.
On January 24, 1912 she was united in marriage to Albert Hinck at Columbus, Nebraska. They made their home in Silver Creek, Nebraska, which was the childhood home of Mr. Hinck. In 1917 they moved to a farm 13 miles north of Holyoke, which has been the home until the present time.
Mr. and Mrs. Hinck had four children, Walter Hinck and Erma (Mrs. Earl Ellis), Holyoke, Mrs. Amber Hinrichs, Wilmington, California, and Donald Hinck, Sacramento, California, who survive. Others surviving are Mr. Hinck; 12 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Stella Kohl, Clarks, Nebraska.
Mrs. Hinck was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
She became a member of the Congregational church a number of years ago, later transferring her membership to the Evangelical Lutheran church with her husband. She continued her affiliation with that church until her death.
