OBITUARY
Effie Hageman, nee Ellis, was born on December 3, 1876, at Fairbanks, Iowa and died at her home in Phillips County, Colorado on February 21, 1908. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmons Ellis of Holyoke. The family moved from Iowa to Rooks County, Kansas in 1887 and from there to Phillips County, Colorado in 1890.
On the 16th day of March 1904, she was married to Ernest Hageman who, with two little boys, Clarence and Carl, born to them, survive her.
She was sick with brain fever for a little over two weeks. The funeral services were conducted from the home, Rev. J.T. Jenkins of Holyoke preaching the sermon and the body was laid in the Holyoke cemetery. She was highly thought of by all who knew her and many friends deeply sympathize with the family in their sorrow.
