ROSEBUD

A Little Rosebud bloomed one day

Its fragrance filled the air.

And all that passed along the way

Was happy to see it there.

But storms would come and winds would blow

And the trample of many feet

So a strong and loving hand, one day

Plucked this flower so fair and sweet.

And planted it in a sheltered nook

Away from the busy throng

Where only the rain drops found their way

And the sun shown all day long.

And thus our Babe like the flower

His stay on earth was brief.

His presence filled our hearts with joy

His passing gave us grief.

But our flower was far to precious

To battle the storms of life.

So God took him to bloom in heaven,

Where he never knew sorrow or strife.
