MARGARET L. BEATTIE

 

Margaret Lee Conklin Beattie, 50, of Laurel, Montana, died May 4, 1986 at Billings, Montana. She was a former Holyoke and Sterling resident.

 

She was born September 29, 1935 in Holyoke, the daughter of George and Rose [Stephens] Conklin. She received her education in Holyoke, graduating from Holyoke High School in 1953. She was class valedictorian.

 

She married Norman Beattie, April 11, 1954 in Holyoke and the couple moved to Sterling where Mrs. Beattie worked at JC Penny Company, until moving to Laurel, Montana in 1974. Mrs. Beattie was manager, and a member, of the Laurel Eagles Lodge.

 

She is survived by two sons, Boydd Beattie of Bridgeport, NE and Wally Beattie of Billings, MT; a daughter, Ronda Lassen of Ft. Collins; her mother, Mrs. Rose Conklin; two brothers, Robert Conklin and Harvey Conklin, all of Holyoke; two sisters, Ruth Henderson of Ft. Collins and Dora Tatum of Ovid and four grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were conducted at Laurel, Montana on Wednesday, May 7, 1986.

 

Memorial services were conducted at Thompson Funeral Home in Holyoke on Friday, May 9, 1986. Burial followed in Holyoke Memorial Park.
