Funeral services were held Saturday, April 17, 1971, from the United Methodist church Holyoke, for Arthur C. Falk, 81, who passed away at his home on April 14, 1971.
Rev. Evan Brian, minister of the church, officiated at the service. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Thompson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Arthur Carl Falk was born to Gust and Sadie Falk on April 11, 1890, in Sumner, Nebraska. He was the third of six children.
He moved to Colorado in 1912 and farmed in the Fairfield community for 17 years. Later he moved to the Beachville community and spent the rest of his life in Holyoke.
He was a member of the United Methodist church, Holyoke Lodge No. 81, 32nd degree Mason, member of Colorado Consistory No. 1. Mr. Falk served as Phillips County commissioner for 24 years and took an active part in many civic affairs.
Mr. Falk was married to Ester Holm in 1913, and to this union three children were born, Fern, Emery Dale, and Irene. He was married to Gladys Hofmeister in 1951. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Emery Dale, his wife Ester in 1946, a daughter, Irene (Mrs. John Orcutt) in 1965, his wife Gladys in 1963, and a step-son, Raymond Hofmeister, in 1970.
He is survived by his daughter, Fern; three brothers, Si, Frank and Paul; two sisters, Mrs. June Stewart, Mrs. Tille Gillett; two grandsons, John and James Orcutt; three great grandchildren, and four stepchildren. Willard, Melvin, Dale Hofmeister, and Mrs. Dale O'Neal.
