RITES HELD MONDAY FOR G. EARL ADAMS
Earl Adams, a resident of Holyoke most of the time for the past 30 years, passed away suddenly Thursday evening, February 28, at his home here.
Mr. Adams had been in poor health for several years and had been unable to work for some time. However, he remained active as long as possible and continued to take care of small tasks. He was 59 years of age.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 4 at the Holyoke Christian church with James Dobyns, minister of that church, officiating. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park. Arrangements were in charge of the
Lewis Funeral Home.
A son of Isaac and Melinda Iowa Adams, George Earl Adams was born March 28, 1903, at Burr, Nebraska. After moving to Holyoke he was employed as a mechanic for a number of years.
Mr. Adams was a member of the Lamar, Nebraska Christian church.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Mabel (Rockwell), to whom he had been married for more than 28 years; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Anderson, Hardin, Missouri; three sons, James Adams, Ogallala, Nebraska, Eldon Adams, Elsie, Nebraska, and Bill Adams, who is a junior at Holyoke High School; three brothers; one sister; seven grandchildren; other relatives, and many friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one son by a previous marriage.
