Originally a public cemetery, now is private and
abandoned. It is thought that this cemetery was used by the
people that worked on the Gunnison Tunnel, but this cannot be
proved. * There are two known burial dates of 1901 and 1902. There are
19 graves.**
Directions: Located about 5 miles S of Montrose on US 550 to
Trout Road, east 1.6 miles, on the east side of the road. |

hillside west of Newberry's Store.
Was in Gunnison county, but as county lines have changed, the

Old Crawford Cemetery AKA Maher
Cemetery. The cemetery is located in Delta County. It is included in
this volume as most of the people buried there were residents of the
Maher area which is located in Montrose Co.
The location is one mile south of Crawford on highway 92 on a bluff
overlooking the north east side of the Crawford Reservoir. The
abandoned cemetery is on private property with no public access.

Ignacio, CO).
