The marriage of Miss Joan Hull, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Marshall Hull of Casper, to Ralph Nittler of Casper, son of Mrs. Fred Nittler of Greeley, Colo,
and the late Mr. Nittler was solemnized in a lovely early June wedding at First Methodist Church in Cheyenne, on Sunday, June 12, 1955. Dr. Fred Clark officiated at the double
ring ceremony at 2:30 o'clock. Large baskets of white gladioli, white stock, and white asters decorated the wedding setting and a large floral piece of the same flowers
was placed on the table in front cf the altar. Lighted white tapers in candelabra completed the decorations. Preceding the ceremony, Frank Howard sang "God Gave Me You"
and "O Promise Me," accompanied by Miss Lois Cochran, organist. Following the service, Mr. Howard sang, "The Lord's Prayer" as the bride's memory candle was lighted.
Escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father, the bride chose for her wedding an original floor length bridal gown of delicate French chantilly type lace
designed with fitted basque bodice, tight wrist-length sleeves and high winged collar. The dress was worn over a white satin under sheath. Her veil of double illusion net
was fingertip length and caught up in a cap of matching lace edged with seed pearls. Her flowers were a cascade bouquet with three white orchids, feathered carnations,
and stephanotis, with streamers of ribbon and stephanotis in shower effect. Her gold locket set with single diamond is a family heirloom belonging to her father's mother.
The bridal attendants were gowned alike in pale blue ninon and lace fashioned with full skirt gathered at the waist and tightly-fitting bodice of blue lace. Folds of
blue ninon around the yoke gave an off-shoulder effect. They wore matching blue lace hats. The matron of honor, Mrs. Ronald Hull of McCook, Neb., sister-in-law of the bride,
carried a cascade bouquet of yellow Esther Reed daisies with blue delphinium and garnet roses tied with garnet streamers. The bridesmaids, Mrs. Robert He1mreich of Midland, Mich.,
sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Nancy Beatty, carried cascades of yellow Esther Reeds and blue delphinium tied with yellow streamers. Their gold heart-shaped lockets
were the gift of the bride. The little flower girl, Vickl Griffin, cousin of the bridegroom, wore blue net with matching hat, and carried a yellow basket of yellow rose
petals. Ronald Hull Jr., of McCook, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. He was dressed in dark trousers and white coat, similar to the men in the wedding party.
He carried the rings on a pillow belonging to bride when she was a little girl. Richard Grover of Ft. Collins was best man and ushers were Ronald Hull, McCook,
brother of the bride, and Dr. Robert Helmreich, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. The bride's mother chose for the occasion, a beige lace and linen dress with which she
wore pink accessories and a corsage of pinkelle roses and pink feathered carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore wedgwood blue lace and linen with matching blue
accessories. Her corsage was of pink elfe roses and white feathered carnations.
Wedding guests were greeted at a reception in Fellowship Hall immediately following the ceremony. The bride's table held a three-tiered cake topped with a miniature
bride and groom. The cake was decorated with yellow roses and encircled with pink elfe roses and greenery. The cake was served by Mrs, Rood Menter of Sedgewick, Colo.
and Mrs. B. C. Beatty poured coffee. Mrs. Hobart Marion presided at the punch bowL Miss Susan McDonald attended the guest book, and Miss Donna Kay Floth of Casper was
in charge of the gift table. Also assisting at the reception were Miss Emma Jo Hatch and Mrs. Garlin Griffin. z
For their wedding trip to Colorado, the bride wore for her traveling costume an avocado green suit and white accessories and two white orchids from her bridal bouquet.
The couple will reside in Casper where Mr. Nittler is employed as chemical engineer for Standard Oil Co. A graduate of Greeley High School and the
University of Colorado, he received his master's degree from the University of Michigan. He served with the armed forces in the South Pacific and Japan. Mrs. Nittler is a
graduate of Cheyenne High School and Colorado Women's College. She was employed as registered technician at both Memorial Hospital and DePaul Hospital in Cheyenne before
going to Utah where she was employed for the past year. z
Out of town guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Floth and Donna Kay Floth of Casper and Mrs. Mary Garner and Mrs. Merle Mitchell and Kathryn Ann of
Torrington."
