In 1900 Leroy precinct, Logan County, Julius G. born Oct 1849 in Germany, married 25 years to Helen Nov 1858 Illinois.  They have Julius Jan 1882 Illinois, Ellen Sept 1883 Illinois, George F. Jan 1887 Nebraska, Edwin W. Aug 1888 Nebraska, Albert R. Dec 1891 Colorado, and Elvira May 1899 Colorado.


1908 "Mrs. Wm. Crandall of Denver is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Stoltz, of Leroy."

In 1910 Logan County, Julius and Helen have Elbert 18, Alvira 11, Clara 9, and Edwin 21.

In  1920, Julius and Helena are in Long Beach, California, with Clara L. 18.

Julius Gottlieb Stoltz 1894-1924 and Helena S. (Schneller) Stoltz 1858-1935 are buried in Sterling.

ALBERT

In 1910 Rock Creek precinct, Washington County, Colorado, Vida E. Henzie is 11, parents Clinton D. Henzie 35 and Lydia J. 33.

Albert Ruben Stoltz, born Dec 1891 at LeRoy Colorado, registered with a Merino, Colorado address, with a wife and child.

Albert proved up a quarter in 19, 6N 54W in 1919.

In 1920 Converse County, Wyoming, "Burt" Stoltz is 28, born in Colorado, a telephone wireman, married to Vida, 21 Iowa, and they have Nina 3 born in Colorado.

Albert A. Stoltz is a building carpenter in Los Angeles County in 1930, 37, with Vida E. Stoltz 31, Nyla 13 and Orville 8.

In 1940 Los Angeles County he's a motorcycle policeman, and he and Vida have Orville 18, a sheet metal worker for a "cooler company."

On the same census page in 1940 are Nyla and Curtis J. Kennedy, with Daniel, 5.  Curtis also is a metal worker, making sanitary coolers for creameries and dairies.

 Albert Ruben Stoltz dying 1970, buried in Whittier, California.  In the same cemetery FindaGrave has Vida Emma Stoltz dying Feb 18, 1998.  That's the same year as Oregon death records have for Vida.

The graveside service for Vida Emma Stoltz will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Calif.
Mrs. Stoltz, 99, of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 18, 1998) in Three Fountains Nursing Center.
She was born Vida Emma Henzie on Oct. 3, 1898, in Clinton, Iowa.
On Nov. 3, 1915, in Sterling, Colo., she married Bert R. Stoltz, who died in 1970.
She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1981 from Huntington Park, Calif.
Mrs. Stoltz was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Pythian Sisters, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Emblem Club.
Survivors include a son, Orville D., Medford; a brother, Morse Henzie, Lakewood, Calif.; two sisters, Ila Isham, Clearlake, Calif., and Ruth Hawkans, North Bend; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Nyla G. Kennedy, died in 1989.

Nyla Grace (Stoltz) Kennedy -1916-1989 is buried in Applegate, Jackson County, Oregon.

Orville B. Stoltz is in a 1993 directory of Englewood, Colorado, born March 16, 1922.

GEORGE

George F. proved up a quarter in 1, 6N 50W in 1913.

George Ferdinand Stoltz, born January 13, 1887 at Hastings, Nebraska, registered  for WWI, living at 423 Phelps in Sterling, farming on a ranch east of Sterling, with a wife and four children.

In 1930 Logan County, George F. is 43, Elizabeth 40, with Ivan G. 18, Harold F. 16, Mildred L. 15, Clarence W. 9, and Ronald 6.

George 1887-1978 and Elizabeth L. (Koenig) Stoltz are buried in Sterling.

Clarence 1920-1944 was killed on a bombing run in Germany, and has a military marker in Sterling.

JULIUS E.

Julius E. Stoltz married Maggie Koenig Dec 20, 1904, recorded in Logan County.

EDWIN

Edwin W. proved up a quarter in 1, 5N 50W (Washington County, but only a few miles south) in 1914

January 1914

Edwin registered with a Fleming mail address, but working at Burdett, born August 21, 1888 at Hasting, NEbraska.

In 1920 Washington County, Edwin is 31, Gladys M. 25, with Dorothy W. 5, Edwin L. 3, and Marjorie A. 1.

Edwin W. also proved up 80 acres in 33, 4N 51W in 1922.

In 1940 Edwin 51, Gladys 45 are in Yolo County, California, with daughter Dorothy Gould 25 and her husband Lawrence (kids Keith 7 and LaDonna 4), son Edwin 23 and his wife Margery 21.

Edwin W. died Oct 29, 1966 in Napa County.  Gladys M. Stoltz (father Williams, mother Horner) died April 11, 1992 in Yolo County.

Edwin Lee Stoltz died on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at age 87 in Davis, California.

Mr. Stoltz had been a resident of Yolo County for four years. He was born on Aug. 1, 1916, in Sterling, Colo.
Mr. Stoltz served in the U.S. Army Air corps during World War II in the Aleutian Islands and in the South Pacific, where he was involved in the fighting in and around the Mariana Islands. He later worked as an aircraft mechanic at McClellan Air Force Base where he eventually retired. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Roseville.

Mr. Stoltz is survived by his wife and by sisters, Dorothy Gould and Marjorie Scott, both of Woodland, as well as by many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his parents, Edwin W. and Gladys (Williams) Stoltz.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kraft Bros. Chapel in Woodland.

Services: A funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 12, at Kraft Bros. Chapel in Woodland. There was no visitation prior to the service. A private burial was held at Monument Hill Memorial Park.

------------------------------------------------------------------------Keith E. Gould died in Woodland, California  Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at age 72.

Mr. Gould was born June 30, 1932, in Sterling, Colo. He had been a Yolo County resident for 68 years. He attended Woodland High School and graduated from Vallejo High School.

Survivors include Mr. Gould's wife Bobbie Gould, also of Woodland; his daughters, Allison Dantzler of Texas and Michelle Hunt and her husband David of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Breanna, Nicole, Andrew and Sydney; his mother, Dorothy Gould of Woodland; his sister, Ladonna Governor and her husband Warren of Napa; his aunt, Marjorie Scott and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Gould and his uncle, Edwin.

The family requests memorials in Mr. Gould's name be directed to the American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, 94010.

Services: A funeral is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24 at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland. Interment will follow the service at 10:30 a.m. at Monument Hill Memorial Park. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
 

CLARA

Clara Louise (Stoltz) Spence 1901-1960 has a marker in Gilroy California.  FindaGrave says her husband Frank Spence 1894-1944 was a Navy seaman dying Feb 18, 1944.



LENA

January 1908 "On Tuesday, December 31, at four P. M. at the home of the bride's parents, one and one half miles south of Leroy, Mr. J. W. Crandall to Miss Lena Stotz. Rev. Meyer, of Sterling, officiating. The wedding was a swell affair, there being present about fifty invited guests. The wedding march was played by Miss Frances Foxall of Leroy. The bride wore white silk crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of white roses. Miss Lizzie Koenig and Miss Frieda Widman acted as bridesmaids and George Stoltz and John Loos jr as groomsmen.
After the ceremony the guests were invited to sit down to two long tables that were actually groaning under their load of good things and to say that they accepted and did full justice to the feast would be putting it mildly.
After supper the time was spmt playing games until a late hour when the guests began to depart, each congratulating the bride and groom and wishing them a happy New Year. Mr. and Mrs. Crandall will make their future home in Denver.

November 1916 " Mrs. Lena Crandall and May Mansfield, who have been visiting for some time at the home of Mrs. Crandall’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Stoltz. left this morning for Denver where they will visit friends and relatives for a few days before returning to their home at Omaha, Nebraska."
