Thanks to Walter Bornemeier ! My dad’s father was Henry Bornemeier. He lived near Murdock, Nebraska. His first wife died after they had four children. My dad’s family from Grandpa Bornemeier’s first wife were first, Henry Bornemeier (my Uncle Henry). Next, there was Louise Meierjurgen. She lived and died near Murdock. She had four children, Carl, Jonas, Walter, and Louise. The third child in Grandpa B’s family was Mrs. Rieckman. Her name was Amalia. She was married to a man by the name of Shueltmeier. They had one child, Otto, when her husband died. She then married Henry Rieckman. He had one child, Emma (his wife had died). They had six children, Ferdinand, Lydia, Louise, Albert, Dick, and Meta. Dick’s name was Ervin, but very few knew this, everybody called him Dick. Meta was the youngest. The fourth and youngest was my dad. Then they lost Grandma Bornemeier and Grandpa married again. The second wife’s name was Margaret; she was a sister to my mother’s dad, Grandpa Schlueter. This created some interesting relationships. They had seven children. Their names were Gustav, Paul, Martin, Ernest, Arthur, Minnie, and Tilly. They are now all gone. In fact, Aunt Tilly died a few months ago.
