In 1900 Weld County, Colorado, M.E. Mallo is boarding wtih a farm family, born February 1877 in Canada, a farm laborer, immigrating in 1892.
Michael is locomotive engineer in Greeley, Colorado in 1910, 30, born in Canada, single, living in a lodging house.
He had immigrated in 1892. In 1911 Michael E. Mallo of Greeley was granted a patent for a gasoline carbureter.
He's a stationary engineer in 1930 Denver, still single.

SAMUEL LEVI MALLO

In 1910 Samuel is 31, living in Sterling, working at an elevator, with sister Lydia Corrigan and her husband Jesse, both 37.

Samuel L. Mallo and Juanette Martin married May 10, 1916, recorded in Logan County.

In 1920 Sterling, Samuel L. Mallo is managing an elevator, with Jeanette both 41. They're in Sterling in 1930, and Jeanette Mallo had an inheritance case in Logan County April 2, 1934.

In 1940 Samuel is divorced, still in Sterling, 61. There was a Samuel L. Mallo that married Alice Ady July 9, 1936, recorded in Boulder County.

Samuel 1878-1952 is buried in Sterling # 45552796.

FRANK MALLO

Frank, born July 6, 1870 in Canada, died September 28, 1950 in Yolo County, California.
He's buried in Yolo COunty, per # 87537589.

Gideon O. Mallo and Estella M. Hyde married, the ceremony performed by Rollin H. Ayers, Methodist minister in Sterling.

Blanche proved up a quarter in 19, 6N 50W in 1917.

Gideon Otto Mallo registered with a Leroy address, born August 3, 1883, farming, wife Estella May Mallo.

There's an "S. Blanche Hyde" in the 1920 Denver census, a lodger on Tremont Place - none of the fifteen lodgers have ages or place of birth.

In the 1920 Sterling census, on 2nd Avenue are Gideon 35, Nebraska, a real estate agent, and Estella 36 Mallo, with Elouise 3 and Harold B. 1, both born in Colorado.  With them are Clifford Hyde 17 and Sarah Blanch Hyde 28, Estella's siblings, all three born in Iowa.  Clifford is a mechanic, Sarah a student at a business college.

In 1930 and 1940 Estella M. and Gideon O. are still in Sterling with Elouise and Harold.  In 1940 Gideon and Estella are running a grocery store, Elouise a beauty shop, and Harold a department store salesman.

Francis M. Hyde 1849-1921 and Mary E. (Oberholtzer) Hyde 1848-1918 are buried in Sterling.

Gideon 1885-1949 and Estella May (Hyde) Mallo  1881-1971 are buried in Sterling.

Harold V. 1918-2010 and Margaret Mallo 1918-2011 are also buried in Sterling.

Eloise M. Krueger, 92, of Sterling, died Sept. 8, 2008, in Sterling. Private family services will be held at a later date. There was cremation. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.

She was born on April 25, 1916, to Gideon and Estella (Hyde) Mallo, in LeRoy. At an early age, her family moved to Sterling, where she graduated from Logan County High School in 1934. She attended Marinello Beauty School in Denver for one year. Mrs. Krueger returned to Sterling and began working at the McCahan Hat and Beauty Shop. She later purchased the business from Mrs. W. H. McCahan.

She continued in the business until her marriage to Orville E. Krueger in Sterling on Jan. 14, 1967. Mr. Krueger passed away Feb. 28. 1968.

Mrs. Krueger was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Business and Professional Women's Club, the Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem. She volunteered with the Sterling Regional MedCenter Auxiliary and Logan County Cooperating Ministry.

She is survived by her brother, Harold Mallo, formerly of Sterling; step-son, Terry Krueger of Boulder; nephews, Gary Mallo, Richard Mallo and Robert Hyde and wife Dorothy; cousins, William "Bill" Busig and Naomi Busig; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Hyde; nephew, Howard Hyde; and niece, Donna Hyde Jochem.

In 1900 Jefferson County, Nebraska, Charles W. Busig born Jan 1870 in Germany, and Victoria 27, have WIlliam 4, Mary R. E. 1, both kids born in Nebraska.

William Fred Busig, born April 20, 1896 at Fairbury, Nebraska, registered, living six miles northwest of Sterling.

In 1920 Logan County, Charles W. Busig, 51, born in Hanover, Germany, immigrating in 1887, naturalized in 1908, and Victoria 46 Canada, have William F. 23 Nebraska, John H. 18 Nebraska, Ervin A. 15 Nebraska, Mabel G. 11 Nebraska, and Fern E. 9 Nebraska.

Blanche S. Hyde, 34, married Wm. F. Busig April 14, 1925 in Greeley.  He was 28.

They're farming in Logan County in 1930, with Naomi 4 and William 2.

In 1940 Logan County, William F. Busig is 44, farming, Blanch S. 49, with Naomi D. 14 and William S. 12.

Sarah B. Busig, born April 10, 1891, died March 4, 1988, last residence Sterling.

Funeral services for William F. Busig, of Sterling, will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Chaney Walters Funeral Home, the Rev. Keith E. Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Busig, 88, died Friday, August 31, 1984,  in Denver.
The farmer-rancher was born April 30, 1896, in Fairbury, Neb., the son of Charles and Victoria Martin Busig.
He received his earlier schooling in Fairbury, Neb., moving to Grand Island, Neb., for three years before coming to Colorado in 1917.
He settled at 15745 County Road 29 in Sterling in 1923 where he farmed and ranched.
On April 14, 1925, he married Sarah Blanche Hyde in Greeley. The couple farmed for over 60 years at the Sterling ranch. At the time of his death, Mr. Busig was still active in operating the ranch.
He was a member of the Protestant faith.
Mr. Busig is survived by his widow, Sarah Busig; one daughter, Naomi Busig of Sterling; one son, William S. Busig of Sterling; two sisters, Emma Daniels of Sterling and Mabel Pickell of Wheatridge; one brother, Ervin Busig of Sterling;
grandchildren and 1 great-grand son.
Chaney-Walters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 
 
Sarah Blanche Busig of 444 California, a Logan County resident since 1912, died Friday, March 4, 1988, at Logan County Hospital. She was 96.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday from Chaney Walters Funeral Home, Bill R. Haines officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born April 10, 1891 in Anton, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Mary Oberholtzer Hyde, received her schooling in Iowa then moved to Vivian, S.D., with her family, returned to Iowa before moving to the Kelly community in 1912.
She attended Barnes Business College in Denver, worked there for a brief time before coming to Sterling. After her April 14, 1925 marriage to William F. Busig, the couple farmed for over 60 years on their ranch near Sterling. She has resided in Sterling for several years.
Mr. Busig died Aug. 31, 1984.
Mrs. Busig was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by a daughter, Naomi Busig; a son, William S. Busig; two grandchildren, Kent Busig and Barbara Hass; and a great-grandson, Jason Haas, all of Sterling.
Chaney-Walters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 
Naomi Busig, 87, of Sterling, passed away July 21, 2013, in Sterling. Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Blaine Malmedal officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Naomi was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Sterling to William F. and Sarah B. (Hyde) Busig. She graduated from high school and then graduated from art school.

She returned home to help out on the family farm. Naomi was an artist, loved nature and the outdoors, hiking and loved all kinds of animals.

She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall.

Naomi is survived by her sister-in-law, Jean Busig of Sterling; niece, Barbara Haas and husband Lonny of Sterling; nephew, Kent Busig and wife Heather of Wausau, Wis.; great-nephews, Jason Haas and wife Lisa of Peetz, Jeff Haas of Fort Collins, John Busig of Wausau, Wis.; great-nieces, Emma Busig of Wausau, Wis., and Maddie Busig of Wausau.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William S. Busig.

William S. "Bill" Busig, 83, of Sterling, died Sept. 4, 2011, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Christ United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Bigler officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Busig was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Sterling to William F. and Sarah B. (Hyde) Busig. He graduated from high school.

He worked for Highline Electric from 1954 to 1990. He also farmed with his father for many years.

On April 18, 1954, he married Mary Jean Wilson in Fleming.

Mr. Busig was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, BPO Elks No. 1336 lifetime member and trustee, and a member of the Methodist Men's Club and Young Farmers. He also taught Sunday school at the church.

He enjoyed his grandchildren and attending farm sales, and worked on electrical motors.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Busig of Sterling; daughter, Barbara Haas and husband Lonny of Sterling; son, Kent Busig and wife Heather of Wausau, Wis.; sister, Naomi Busig of Sterling; grandchildren, Jason Haas and wife Lisa of Peetz, Jeffrey Haas of Fort Collins, Emma, Maddie and Jonathon Busig of Wausau, Wis.; sisters-in-law, June Davis and Theresa Wilson of Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Busig.
