(June 1910 Boulder "Last night witnessed the culmination of a
romance begun at the Prep school some six years ago,
when Miss Mildred McNutt was united in marriage to Cyrus Poley.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles Black, at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Williamson. The wedding was
witnessed by members of the family and a few intimate friends -
all of whom were pledged to secrecy. However, in some
mysterious fashion the news leak«d out and as a
result searching parties were sent out for the bride and groom.
They were finally located, successfuily cornered and
gracefully surrendered
to the shower of rice which was their due
Other similar incidents were avoided by the
couple taking an automobile to the Y east of town,
where they boarded the interurban bound for
Denver. They will spend their honeymoon at Fort Morgan, where Mrs. Poley's parents
recently moved and Steamboat Springs.
Both parties are well known in
this city. Cyrus, or Jack, as he is more famillarly knowm.
having lived here most of his life.
He is a graduate from the State Preparatory school,
and yesterday received his A B. degree from the
University of Colorado. His wife is a graduate of both
the Prep and University, having received her diploma from
the latter imttltution last year. She is
very popular in musical circles, possessing
a voice of rare sweetness. Their many friends
will unite with the Camera in wishing them full
measure os success and happiness.")
March 1909 Silverton, Colorado " Dr. M. M. McNutt of Boulder arrived in Silverton, Wednesday, and will be associated with Dr. Baily in the practice of dentistry. Dr. McNutt is an experienced workman."
May 1910 Silverton, Colorado " Dr. M. M. McNutt spent Sunday at Trimble
Springs and says he had an awfully pleasant time and we do not doubt his word
in the least."
February 17, 1912 Monte Vista, Colorado "News of the serious illness
of his father at Fort Morgan was received early in the week by Dr. M. M. McNutt,
who left at once for the bedside of the sufferer. The doctor was accompanied
by his sister, Mrs. Poley of Center, and her husband.
The condition of the patient grew steadily worse, and at 10:30 Thursday night
he passed away. Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church in
Monte Vista, Sunday afternoon at 2:30."

and has packed and crated his dental office equipment ready for shipment.

March 1916 Sterling "Although not yet a year has passed
since Dr. M. M. McNutt discovered that Sterling was the best city in
Colorado and decided to change his practtice here from Monte Vista,
Colorado, he has already made many professional and personal friends here.
Like every other profession and business, the practice of dentistry in
Sterling is bringing patients here from long distances for the reason that
the city's reputation for up-to-date practitioners is well known
in northeast Colorado, and the advent of Dr. McNutt has added strength to
the profession. The doctor acquired a diploma from the Colorado College of
Dental Surgery, of the Denver University. In 1907, after graduating from
the State Preparatory school and attending two years in the University of
Colorado at Boulder. Prior to coming to Sterling he practiced at Monte
Vista, holding license to practice in the state of Colorado.
He is a native of Washington, Illinois. Dr. McNutt's office rooms
at Gilbert Bros. Drug store, fronting Main street, are light,
cheerful, steam heated and nicely furnished - divided into reception room,
operating room, laboratory and toilet, and equipped with all the latest
appliances and instruments used in modern dentistry. Appointments may be
made by telephone - Sterling 85F1. A reputation for conscientious and
careful work, added to a professional education that
includes all recent methods employed in this important science,
places Dr. McNutt in the first rank of Logan County's dental operators."
May 12, 1916 Boulder " Dr. Maurice McNutt and wife of
Sterling, Colo., have notified his sl«ter, Mrs.
C. W. Poley, that they are very proud of their first
born, a baby girl, born a few days ago."
August 24, 1916 Boulder "Dr. Maurice McNutt, wife
and babe of Sterling, Colo., came last evening and will spend several
days at the Boulderado. They will try to see their relatives and friends
while here. Miss Lillian Walsh, sister of Mrs. McNutt, is with them. "
September 27, 1917 " Margaret Ann, the little 15-month-old daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. M. M. McNutt, died last night. The remains are being taken to
Kokomo, Ind., tonight for interment. In the loss of the little sunshine from
the home, Dr. and Mrs. McNutt have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends."

Kokomo, Indiana "William Walsh, who if he had lived until the first day of next month would have attained his twenty-fifty year, died this morning in University Hospital at Boulder, Colorado, where he went some time ago in search of relief from the deadly white plague with which he was a sufferer. The sad news came to the parents here, Patrick and Mrs. Walsh, West Jefferson Street, this forenoon.
Although the young man was born at Anderson, he had resided so long in Kokomo and so much of his brief life was associated with this city, that he was in truth a local boy. Most of his schooling was gained here, he having graduated from the high school with the class of 1911. He was a member of the Beta Phil Sigma and an Elk. the body will be shipped home for interment, and the funeral services will be announced later."

"Julia Walsh McNutt, 78, died Tuesday morning in an Indianapolis Hospital,
following an extended illness. She had formerly lived at 1501 W. Jefferson. Born in
Cincinnati, O., Nov. 2, 1885, she was the daughter of Patrick and Margaret (Egan) Walsh.
In March 1915, in Indianapolis, she was married to Maurice M. McNutt.
A graduate of Indiana State Teachers College, she taught school at Anderson, Kokomo,
and Monte Vista, Colorado. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and PEO in Sterling,
Colo. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs, Parker (Patricia) Haywood;
one sister, Miss Anne Walsh, both of Kokomo, and three grandchildren.
Funeral servicps will be at Thursday in Jacobs Funeral Home with Rev. Harry
Walrond officiating. Burial wii be in Crown Point Cemetery."

"Patricia Haywood 93, of Kokomo, passed away at her residence at 6:45pm Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was born October 13, 1919 in Sterling, CO to Marice Monroe and Julia Walsh McNutt who was formerly of Kokomo. She was a 1937 graduate of Kokomo High School, attended Kokomo Junior College and Butler University. She worked at the Kokomo Library until she married Parker Haywood, a widower with a young son; Thomas, who preceded them both in death. Pat was a member of First Presbyterian Church, teaching several Sunday school classes, she was a scout leader for both her son's and daughter's troops, was also a member and past president of PEO, Chapter BU, Delphian Reading Club, Tri Kappa Sorority and Study Club. She is survived by Bill, Karen, Parker, and Thea Haywood of Denver, CO and Julie Haywood of Kokomo. A Memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street.
