In 1880 Hancock County, Illinois, John Hubbard is 32, born in Ohio, farming, Mary F. Hubbard 33 Wife, Jesse H. Hubbard 9 Son, Levi P. Hubbard 7 Son, Lizzie M. Hubbard 4 Daughter, and Mary Anna Hubbard 9/12 Daughter.

November 1919 Montrose "Tuesday was an important day in the lives of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Hubbard. well known residents of this city, for on that day they celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage, fifty years of happiness together. Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard were happy in having three of their five children with them on this glad occasion, which was indeed a memorable event, one which marks a real epoch in their lives. The day was celebrated with an elegant dinner at 1:30, and covers were laid for the genial couple in whose honor the event was given, und Rev. and Mrs. Isaac Cuhhol and daughter Mary. and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thompson and son. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Hubbard and five children and Chester Hubbard. The estimable couple were showered with some lovely gifts and the best wishes of all present, felicitations which are shared by all their other friends, that many more years of happiness tognther may be accorded them. The day was spent quietly in visititig and reminiscences, and proved a happy one indeed.
On Thanksgiving day, November 18, 1869, J. G. Hubbard and Miss May F. Pomeroy were united in marriage in Bowen, I11. Five children were born to them, all of whom survive, and they are Mrs. Henry Thompson and Chester Hubbard of this city, Orville Hubbard, who with his family, arrived the first of the week from Fontana, Kans., to live and Mrs. Anna Ogilzie of Kankakee, I11., and Levi Hubbard of Topeka. To the regret of the parents and family, the last two named were unable to be here for the golden wedding. After their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard spent over thirty years in Illinois, then moving to Chandler, Okla.. where they lived for twelve years. They came to Montrose nearly six years ago and have made this city their residence since that time. Both are 72 years of age and Mr. Hubbard was born in Cincinnati and Mrs. Hubbard in Brown county, Ohio.
They own a nice home at 327 Water street, where they reside with their son Chester, and they are members nnd active in the work of the Congregational church of this city, both being staunch Christians and faithful, devout workers for the cause of Christ. Besides their five children, they have sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. One of their grandsons, Ray Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thompson, is in California, where he is one of the U. 8. Navy boys. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard enjoy excellent health and take an active interest in the live topics of the day. Tho their home is their world, they mingle much socially and enjoy nothing better than meeting and visiting with their large circle of friends."

In 1920 Montrose, John Hubbard is 71, May F. Hubbard 72 Wife, and Chester J. Hubbard 36 Son, a gold miner.


July 1920 "Helen Ogilvie of Kankakee, I11., a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Hubbard, and a niece of Mrs. Henry Thompson and J. O. Hubbard, whc has been the guest of her relatives here for a few weeks, departed for her home on Friday."

July 1920 "Visitors in the city are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burnett of Bowen, I11., who will spend some time as guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Hubbard nnd family. Mrs. Burnett is a niece of Mr. Hubbard."

Fred, a wheelwright, and "Evva" Burnett, married five years, are in Bowen in 1900. Evva was born 1877 in Illinois.

Anna Evelyn Burnett died in 1908, and "Married Mona Thrasher, 12 November 1911"

In 1870 Hancock County, Lizzie M. Thrasher is 13, with George and Hester Thrasher.

Chandler, Oklahoma " Chandler and Lincoln county friends will learn with much regret of the death of John Hubbard, which occurred at the home of his son, Levi, at Wichita, Kan., Tuesday, October 20. Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard were pioneer settlers of Lincoln county, having owned and operated the Telford farm one mile west of this city a number of years.
Deceased was 77 years old at the time of his death. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Oglevle, and Mrs. Lizzie Thompson, and two sons, Levi and Orval, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Mrs. Hubbard is a sister of Lizzie Pomeroy of this city."
