FRANK
July 1906 Boulder, Colorado " Frank Giacomini of Sterling, Colo.,
who came up to join the encampment of Troop D at Golden, returned home
today."
1907 "W. B. Giacomini and brother Frank went to Denver last week,
the latter having spent his vacation at his home in Sterling.
We learn that Mr. Giacomini has made commenable progress in his studies
at the State University, and won the Harvard scholarship.
It will be remembered that he won in the medal contest here in Sterling
upon his graduating from the Logan County High School, and is to be
congratulated upon his success at Boulder."
"Matt Giacomini is a third-generation attorney who graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 1984, and started at The Law Firm of Springer & Steinberg on September 4, 2002. All three generations (grandfather, father, and Giacomini) attended CU Law School. An interesting side note is that Giacomini’s grandfather’s brother Frank was a physicist who attended the University of Berlin with Albert Einstein.
Giacomini has been an attorney for 37 years having spent 13 years at Burg Simpson Law Firm. He was recently named partner at Springer & Steinberg. When he started with the firm nearly two decades ago, it seemed unlikely that Jeff Springer or Harvey Steinberg would entertain the idea of other partners in their firm. It was simpler with just the two of them. The firm has grown over the years to total 14 attorneys and they have decided to add three new partners: Matt Giacomini, Steve Burstein, and Matt Holycross."

WILLIAM
March 4, 1908
July 1908 " Last Friday, Mrs. Will Giacomini bid her husband and friends
goodbye and started with her mother for a few day's visit in Denver as
happy as a woman in possession of all of life's choicest blessings could be.
On arriving at Denver, she registered at the Columbia hotel on 17th street.
At four o'clock on Saturday she was called from her room on the second
floor to the telephone. After answering the call, she went to the elevator
to ascend to her room again. The pilot had left it and in some way in
leaving set it in motion and it had ascended several feet. She did not
notice it and stepped into the vacant shaft and fell to the basement,
a distance of about twelve feet. She was rendered unconscious by the
shock, her face was cut slightly, and one limb broken above the knee
and the knee cap shattered. She was takeu to the St. Joseph's
hospital at once. It was feared that she had suffered internal injuries,
but this, luckily, was not so. The broken bones were set and, in time,
she will recover, though she may have a stiff knee.
W. B. reached her side as quickly as steam and electricity could get
him there, and has remained with her ever since. Her mother,
Mrs. Nora Stimson, was at her room in the hotel when the accident
occurred. It would seem that she has a just claim for heavy damages
from the hotel."
