" George Dana Emerson, 51 years of age, died Tuesday at his cabin in the Upper Broad View district of Estes Park just after playing four games of tennis. Death was caused by acute dilation of the heart, Coroner H. M. Balmer reported, after being called to investigate the case Tuesday evening.
Mr. Emerson, who was well to do and was in the habit of spending his winters in Florida and his summers in Estes Park, had never been sick a day in his life, it was said, and had played tennis winter and summer. He dropped over dead while sitting watching a tennis game, after he had stopped to let a fifth member of the group take his place.
He is survived by his widow and a brother, Charles W. Emerson of Greeley. There will be no inquest. Burial probably will be in Greeley."
