In 1910 Logan County John W. Lewis, Sr. born in Missouri, married 21 years to Maggie E. Illinois, both 41 years old, have Ary L. 13, John W Jr. 11, James R. 10, William E. 7, Jesse S. 3, and Maggie E. four months.   The youngest two born in Colorado, the oldest five in Kansas.

John  proved up a quarter in 34, 8N 48W in 1912.

In 1918-1919 Ary Lewis was teaching in District 96, with her address Fleming.

In 1920 Montgomery County, Kansas, Sullivan Lomax 47 and Ada L. 43 have Otho W. 17 and Marquita 8.  With them is niece Ara L. Lewis, 23, a school teacher. 

Ada is with them in 1930, too, and Susan M. Shane, 83 a "step mother-in-law" born in Tennessee.

Ary Lillie Lewis -1896-1972 - is buried in Mount Hope, Montgomery County, Kansas.  So are Ada Lomax 1875-1938 54022913 and Sullivan Lomax  1871-1946

Jesse's California death record says he was born July 22, 1906 in Colorado, died April 18, 1988 in Orange County, mother's name Jones.
