Frank cash-claimed a quarter in 34, 8N 48W in 1891.  Also in 1891, James cash-claimed a quarter in 19, 8N 94W, and Samuel cash-claimed a quarter in 17, 8N 49W.

William S. Ganson is listed in Company G. 1st Colorado Volunteers.

In 1870 Gilpin County, Colorado, William 48 and Sarah 43 GanSon are farming, both born in New York, Frank 19 Michigan, is a miner, James 8 and Ida May 6 are at school, both born in Colorado.  With them are Samuel Flint, 34 a farmer and Sarah 24, with Sarah O. two months.

Frank O. Ganson was Aspen city marshal in 1885.

In 1900 Teller County, Frank O. Ganson, born April 1850 in Illinois, is a mine superintendent, married 7 years to Sarah M. Oct 1853 New York.

W.S. Ganson married Mrs. E.A. Crandell Oct 28, 1896, recorded in Gilpin County.

 

Seven men pose outside Jim Ganson's saloon in Idlewild, Colorado; the log building has a ragged board gable roof, and two Schlitz signs are at the corners of the front. A diamond-shaped sign in the window reads "Navy." One man holds what appears to be a carpenter's square and another drinks from a bottle. A log is in the muddy road in front, and other logs, a sawhorse, and a scraggly evergreen tree are by the building; tall evergreen trees are on the mountain behind.

James Ganson is buried, per FindaGrave 21949756, in Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado.

Frank O. Ganson 1850-1932 and Sarah -1853-1931 have tombstones in Mount Pisgah cemetery, Cripple Creek.  109093560
