One tree said Foster died in 1865.

In 1880 Dickinson County, Kansas, Alice Hawkins is a house maid, 19, born in Canada, working for the James and Elizabeth Baldwin family.

She's also in another household in 1880, Truman S. Lowe, 48, a Baptist minister, Frances E. 44 born in Canada, with Ida M. 17 born in Kansas, Fred L. 4 in Illinois, Joseph W. 2 in Illinois, Alice Hawkins 18, step-daughter born in Canada, and Amarilla Cryderman, 77 mother-in-law born in Canada.

February 1889 " Frank Watt has moved his family from Atwood to the farm of J. D. Adams, west of Sterling. Frank is an A No. 1 boy and can be relied on every time."

June 1890 Sterling "Mrs. Frank Watt was in the city this week - shopping a hole in Frank's pocketbook."

July 1890 Sterling "Frank Watt met with a serious accident last Thursday evening. He was getting ready to take a wagon load of ice cream and peanuts to Fleming for the 4th, when his team became frightened and dashed into a wire fence. The horses were cut so as to render it impossible for him to proceed. It is a severe blow to Frank and one that he can illy afford."

April 19, 1901 Telluride, Colorado "Born on Monday to Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Watt, a son. Mother and boy doing nicely."

September 1906 "Frank Watt, a ranchman from the Paradox valley, was an arrival at the Victoria house Tuesday evening accompanied by his daughter and child. Dr. Hadley was immediately summoned to treat a bullet wound in Mr. Watt's arm. Mr. Watt is said to have obtained the wound in a quarrel with a ranch hand by the name of Wriggles. He became jealous of attentions paid his wife by Wriggles and drew a revolver with the intention of killing them both, he says, when Mrs. Watt threw her arms around him, and aided by the man. he was thrown to the floor and disarmed. In the struggle, his revolver was accidently discharged, the bullet going through his own arm. The woman and man are said to hsve left the country after signing a written agreement to stay away."

January 1907 "L. F. Watt, who has made a distinct success of fruit growing in Paradox valley, has been down at Placerville a few days, disposing of a load of apples, and last night came up town on a little business errand, returning this morning. Mr. Watt had a big fruit crop this year, the bulk of which he has no difficulty in disposing of at Norwood, Placerville, and intermediate towns and settlements. The thrifty Wright mesa ranchmen are great apple eaters."

May 1907 "L. F. Watt, formerly with Assessor J. H. Adams in his store, later ranching in Paradox valley and Norwood, has taken his old position as manager of the store again, and will move his wife and youngest children back to Telluride, while his two eldest sons will run the ranch at Norwood."

January 3, 1910 Montrose, Colorado "It is learned that L. F. Watt, an old pioneer of the Norwood country, and well known in Telluride, having at one time been in charge of the Adams second hand store, died Friday night at his home in Norwood. The cause of his death is attributed to heart failure. The man leaves behind to mourn his death a wife and four children, two of whom, Harry Watt, also a well known ranchman at Norwood, and Mrs. Lulu Guyer, now residing in Denver, are married; and there are also a younger daughter and a little son. The married daughter in Denver was notified, and a casket sent down to Placerville, from there will be taken by stage on to Norwood and the burial held at that place."

"Son of Eli (b 1829 OH) & Nancy E Watt (b 1838 IL). Her maiden name and their death dates and places are unknown. The 1860 census have them living in Greenville, Bond Co., IL. By the 1870 census his parents and sister are missing; Levi is living in Greene Co., IL with the Abram Geary family (relationship, if any, is unknown).
The census for 1880 McPherson Co., KS, has Franklin boarding and working on farm with W. J. (age 31 b IL) & Olivia J. (age 27 b IL) Kuitt family. No relationship given.
On November 25, 1880 Levi Franklin Watt married Alice Amerilla Hawkins. Her father was a Baptist Minister in Lincoln, Dickinson Co., KS and probably married them. They stayed in Kansas long enough for two of their children to be born; Lula Eveline and Harry Ambrose.
By July 1885 they were in Logan Co., CO (Sterling) where Leo was born and by Dec 1888 they were in Atwood when Frances Eliza came along.
In the 1900 census for Norwood, San Miguel Co., CO they had been married for 19 years, 8 children, 5 living; added to the above is Moses Leroy, Joseph Albert, and Luther Franklin; they also buried one not named baby on the plains. In 1901 a baby boy, Walter Allen completes the family. The 1910 census shows 9 children, 6 living.
After Grandpa Levi died, Grandma remarried to Wilmer O'Dello Stoddard. I have been unable to find her grave."

In 1920 Norwood, on Summit Street, Harry Watt is farming, 36, Della Watt 36 Wife, Jennie Watt 14 Daughter, Thelman Watt 12 Daughter, Thomas Watt 10 Son, Tessie Watt 8 Daughter, Watter A. Watt 18 Brother, Joseph A. Watt 25 Brother, Wilmer Stoddard 39 Stepfather, and Alice W. Stoddard 48 Mother.

September 1921 "Mrs. Leo Sage, who underwent a serious operation at the Salida Red Cross hosiptal some two weeks ago, is reported as making a good recovery. Mrs. Sage's children have been making their home with their grandmother, Mrs. Wilmer Stoddard, while their mother is at the hospital."

January 1922 "Mrs. Don Steels of the Paradox was in Norwood on Wednesday, visiting with her mother, Mrs. Wilmer Stoddard."

April 3, 1925 " Alice Hawkins Watt Stoddard was born in Quebec, Canada, February 14th, 1861, and at the time of her death, Wednesday morning, April 1, was 63 years, 1 month and 17 days old.
At Solomon, Kansas, on November 25th, 1880, she wus married to Levi F. Watt, and to them nine children, three of them who proceeded their parents in death. There survive; two daughters and four sons; Mrs. Donald Steel, of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Leo Sage, of Nucla; Harry, Joseph, Luther and Walter Watt, all residents of Norwood. After several years residence in Solomon and Abilene, Kansas, the family move successively to Cheyenne, Wyo., Sterling, Delta, Telluride, and in 1894 made permanent residence on Wright's Mesa.
June 6th, 1912, at Price, Utah, she was married to Wilmer O. Stoddard, Death, attributed to general senility and an attack of flu-pneumonia, came shortly after 7 Wednesday morning. Mr. Stoddard, who has recently been employed at Goldfield, Nev., was unable to reach Norwood prior to her death and arrived here Tnursday evening.
During the many years residence in this community and county, the number of her friends increased and they will mourn her passing and to the daughters and sons tneir sympathies are extended.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church, Rev. Louis Grle occupying the pulpit, and interment made in tne Norwood cemetery by the side of her first husband, who died in 1909."

July 31, 1958 "Walter Raymond Guire, 55, Grand Junction man who was well known in Moab, died this week in St. Mary's hospital in Grand Junction after an illness which had lasted since May 1. Mr Guire, a shop foreman at at the Climax Uranium mill, was born July 4, 1903, at Norwood, a son of Andrew and Lula Lilla Watt Guire. He spent his childhood in Norwood. He was married to Beverly Joyce Stewart of Moab at Grand Junction on June 28, 1945. Surviving, besides his wife, is his mother, now Mrs. Lula E. Steele of Clifton, Colorado, three sons by a previous marriage, Walter Alvin Guire, Andrew Guire, Nucla, and Norman Ray Guire, Durango, three daughters, Sheila Ray and Billie Jo Guire, Grand Junction, and Mrs. Helen Mae Markley of Nucia Nucla, two brothers, Ralph and Rodney Guire of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and ten grand children. Funeral services will be conducted conducted at 2 p. m. Saturday at Martin's Chapel by the church. Burial will take place in the Orchard Mesa cemetery."

Long-time Moab resident Beverly Joyce Stewart Guire died on Friday, Feb. 14, 1997 in Moab. She was born on Sept. 1, 1922 in Grand Junction, Colorado, a daughter of Eula Gladys Rakestraw and Clive Charles Stewart. She married Walter Raymond Guire on June 24, 1944. Beverly is survived by two daughters, Sheila Dickinson of La Sal, Utah and Billie Jo Wilson of Moab. Also surviving are two step-children. May Wilson of Nucla, Colo., and Norman Guire of Provo, Utah; two brothers. Jack Stewart of Moab and David Stewart, Sr., of Grand Junction Colo.; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, two step-sons Andy and Walter Guire, and three brothers, Harold, Dick and Buster Stewart. Graveside side services were held at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Moab."

June 16, 1922 "At 2:30 Thursday afternoon, at the Wilson Mesa home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Yates, occured the marrige of their daughter, Mattie, to Mr. Walter A. Watt, of Norwood. The young couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Watt, the former being a brother of the groom and the latter a sister of the bride. The wedding ceremony was witnessed by a number of immediate relatives of the bride and groom, together with a host of neighbors and friends of the contracting parties.
The young people are well and favorably known in Norwood, and their many friends will wish them a long and happy married life. "

July 1919 Norwood "Joseph A. Watt, who underwent an operation for appendicitis in France, and who was gassed and wounded on several occasions, came back home with the same old 'pep' with which he left, and refuses to he an invalid. During the celebration at Ouray he rode the famous Peking horse of the California Frank show to a finish: coming home he engaged in breaking horses for W. I. Clark, and thought this violent exercise was doing him no harm, but on Thursday he went down in convulsions three times within an hour and suffered from severe vomiting spells. Dr. Bollinger was called and gave the sick man relieving medicines, and later Dr. Hadley was called from Montrose in consultation, arriving here at 4 this morning, by which tinm the patient had responded to the medical relief given by Dr. Bollinger, and oontinuing to improve until 9 o'clock, Dr. Hadley felt he could leave him and returned to Montrose.
Joe's brothers, Harry and Luther, and his two sisters, Mrs. Leo Sage and Mrs. Don Steele, were called and arrived in Norwood in the early evening of Thursday, to be at their brother's side. It is safe to say that Joe will not be permitted to again engage in his favorite pastime of riding roughgoing horses, and Harry says that Joe will be kept quiet if he has to hogtie him. All will be glad to know that the ex-soldier is rapidly improving and gives promise of making a thorough recovery, notwithstanding, he had a very narrow escape from death."

April 1921 "Luther F. and Mrs. Watt were visiting with Joseph Watt and wife on Hastings Mesa during the early part of the week, returning to Norwood on Thursday. They will soon go up to their ranch in the Cone district, where they will spend the summer months."

October 1920 Telluride "The Montrose Press announces that Luther Watt and Miss May Coefield have been granted a marriage license, but does not give us any further details. It is the opinion of their friends here that these young people are trying to get by with the ceremony without their friends knowing it; but if they do succeed it will only he for a short time, and our advice is for them to come to Norwood immediately and receive the congratulations and best wishes of all. Both are popular among our young people, who anxiously await their arrival here."

"When Uncle Luther was 21 he married Maye Coefield (she was only 17). Within a short time they had a bouncing baby girl, Rose Marie.

January 1921 "Mrs. Luther Watt is visiting with her father, William Coefield, at Nucla, that being the reason for the woe-begone look on our marshal's face. "
By 1930 they were living in Austin, Garfield Co., CO and he was a Miner.
