Born west of Tarkio, Mo., in the High Creek Community, she was a member of the First Christian Church of Trenton,
and a member of the Medicine Chapter No. 140, OES of Newtown. She was a charter member and founding leader of the original
4-H Clubs in the State of Iowa.
Mrs. Teachout married Raymond Vidal Teachout on March 14, 1923, in Hamburg, Iowa. After their marriage they lived on a
farm near Shenandoah, Iowa, for 18 years, and later moved to a farm near Newtown, Mo., where they owned and operated a
cattle and hog farm. In 1965 they retired and moved to Trenton.
He died Sept. 12, 1975. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, and five brothers.
Surviving: two daughters, Lois E. Hawker of Newtown, and Charlotte Loughrey address unknown; a brother,
Howard Moore of Julesburg, Colo.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. First Christian Church, Trenton. Burial, Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton. "

July 1917 "At Van Gundy brothers' ranch, known
far and wide for its irrigation pumps, intense
interest was shown. Here is a system of irrigation
by pumping which is well worth traveling far to see.
The pumping plant cares for about a dozen wells,
and irrigates about 300 acres. On this farm there
is about 250 acres in crops and 150 acres of fine
beets. The Van Gundy boys are farmers and
hustlers and it is a pleasure to meet them and
see their farm."

Gundy, 70, retired rancher of Sterling, Colo.,
died yesterday in Mesa Southslde District Hospital
after a long illness. Mr. Van Gundy had lived in
Mesa 34 years. He was born in Westboro, Mo.,
and had lived many years in Sterling.
He was a breeder of quarter horses,
and was inspector of registration for the
western division of the American Quarterhorse
Association. He is survived by his wife,
Lucretia, of Mesa; two sons,
Robert M. of Sterling and Sam B. inthe navy
at Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. S. L. Fredregill of Sterling;
two sisters, a brother and nine grandchildren, all out of state.
Friends may call between 1 and 2 p.m. today at the M. L. Gibbons Mortuary in
Mesa, after which tne body will be taken to Sterling for services and burial."

July 1934 Scottsbluff, Nebraska "Miss Elisabeth Brewer and Robert Van Gundy were united in
marriage by a lovely ceremony performed at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. W. E. Harper,
Saturday evening at 8 o’clock. The windows banked with vari-colored summer flowers
made a beautiful and appropriate setting for the wedding. In front of this stood the young
couple and the Rev Homer Palrymple, who read the marrisge lines. The bride was lovely in a
peach organdy gown that just touched the floor. Miss Alice Mitchell,
her maid of honor wore blue ribbed organdie and carried a bouquet of roses.
Ross McCain served as best man. Attending from out of town were Martin Brewer of Nebraska,
father of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Bryson Van Gundy, parents of the groom, Miss Alice Van Gundy,
and Bryson Van Gundy, Jr., sister and brother of the groom, all from Sterling, Colo.,
Mr. and Mrs. Earl John and Miss Wanda Brewer of Creighton Valley.
Mrs. Van Gundy is the daughter of Martin Brewer. For some years she has made her home
with her aunt, Mrs. W. E. Harper of this city and she has been among the moat popular
of the younge set. She was graduated from the Scottsbluff High School in 1031,
and attended the Scottsbluff Junior College. At present she is employed at the Finke
Creamery. Mr. Van Gundy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryson Van Gundy of Sterling, Colo.,
is well-known in Scottsbluff, having been employed at Stickney's for the past two years.
Bride and groom left after the ceremony for a wedding tour to Estes Park, Denver, and
Sterling. They will retuni to Scottsbluff the last of this week and will be at home to
their many friends at the Bluffs Apartment."

"Funeral servlcse were held from the Presbyteries Church at Sterling, Colo..
this afternoon (Wednesday) at two o'clock for Robert B. Van Gundy, 33,
who died in Swedish Hospital at Denver Monday night. Mr. Van Gundy was the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert M. Van Gundy of Sterling. The Van Gundys nre former Sidney residents.
Burns suffered in an explosion at The Martin Co. plant southwest of Denver were the cause of
the young man's death. He was a metalurglcal engineer in the employ of The Martin Co. and
was engaged in classified laboratory work at the time of the explosion. He was a graduate of
Sterling High School and Colorado School of Mines at Golden, where he received a bachelor's
degree in metalurglcal engineering. He is survived by his parents and two sisters,
Mrs. Tom May of Boulder and Kathy at home. His father is associated with the Stlckney
organization and was a former manager of the Sidney store. Mrs. Edwsrd F?y of Sidney
is an aunt of the dead youth."

"Funeral is Wednesday for Alice K. Fredregill, 75, of 303 Delmar St. She died Sunday at Sterling Regional MedCenter.
Rev. Ivan Rundus of First Presbyterian Church is officiating for the 10 a.m. closed casket service at his church. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Fredregill was born July 9, 1915, in Pawnee Valley to Bryson and Lucretia (Moore) VanGundy.
She graduated from Sterling High school in 1933 and also won the PEO sisterhood citizenship award that year.
Before her marriage, she worked for the W.C. Harris Co.. On Aug. 8, 1934, she married S.L. ‘Fred" Fredregill in Pawnee Valley. After their marriage they moved to Denver, living there from 1934 to 1936.
They then moved to Greeley, living there until 1943, when they moved to Sterling.
Mrs. Fredregill began her involvement with American Red Cross in 1944 as an ex-officio member of the Logan County chapter's board of directors.
She served five years on the National Board of Governors of the American Red Cross as wll as serving in many capacities at the local, district, state and regional levels.
Mrs. Fredregill organized the Northeastern Colorado Association of Red Cross Chapters, which has been a national model.
Among the services she initiated in Logan County were the "Preparation for Parenthood" classes at Northeastern Junior College.
She served on the Logan County United Way board of directors and the advisory board for Rose Arbor Nursing HOme.
In 1977 she was elected to the Denver Post Hall of Fame and in 1980 she received honorable mention for the "9 Who Care" award.
Mrs. Fredregill received honorable mention for Colorado Volun teer of the Year award in 1982 and in 1982 received Sterling's 1982 Citizen of the Year award from Logan County Chamber of Commerce.
She was a member of First Pres byterian Church and PEO Chapter Z.
Survivors include three sons, Straud and wife Jeanette of Pueblo, Robert and wife Katryna of Beulah and Dr. William of Sterling; a brother, Bryson "Sam" VanGundy of Sterling; and six grandchildren, Ben of Denver, Dominique of San Francisco, Lynette and Davis of Beulah, and Bryson and Austin of Sterling.
Her husband died on April 23, 1986."
