January 1938 Englewood, Colorado "Mrs. John Michaelis' father,
R. C. Rank, of Greeley, incurred a broken leg and cuts and bruises in
an automobile accident Monday night at Gilcrest. Mr. Rank and a friend were
returning home from Denver, where they had attended the Elks boxing
tournament. The other man was driving, and Mr. Rank was asleep,
when they col1ided with a truck. The driver of the car said lights of
the truck had blinded him. Mr. Rank was taken to the Greeley hospital.
The car, which belonged to him, was a new Dodge, and was badly wrecked."
June 15, 1939 Englewood "Mrs. John Michaelis and son, Nibs,
were in Greeley for three days last week with Mrs. Michaelis' sister."

John Udell Michaelis, Age 23, married Elizabeth Ann Coste on
5 Oct 1935 in Platte County, Wyoming.
April 1936 Longmont, Colorado "Hygiene and Longmont friends of Miss Ann Rank,
former teacher at the Hygiene Consolidated school, will be interested to learn of her
marriage to John Michaelis,
a Greeley young man, on October 5, last,
but which has successfully been kept secret until the present. Mrs.
Michaelis is this year an instructor in the Central Platoon school at Greeley.
She is the daughter of R. C. Rank of Greeley and is a
graduate of the Colorado State College of Education.
She was active in campus affairs, and a member of
Delta Omicron, national honorary music sorority,
and affiliated with Sigma Upsilon. Mr. Michaelis is also
a graduate of the college, and is now doing graduate work there.
For two years he has been business manager of the Mirror. He is
a member of Blue Key and Lambda Gamma Kappa. "

September 15, 1957 " Miss Charlotte King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard O. King, who recently moved from Billings to Helena, became the bride of Gary Sears, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Sears of Greeley, in a ceremony in Farr Chapel of Greeley's First Congregational Church. The Rev. Frederick W. Hyslop solemnized the doublerring rites. Two branched floor candelabra flanked the altar and accented a long arrangement of pink gladioli and white carnations beneath the at the double-ring ceremony and Mrs. B. K. Allen, organist, played traditional wedding selections and accompanied Mrs. William Wallace who sang "I Love Thee," "The Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer." The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Harley M. Huebner of Billings, wore a floor-lecgth gown with fitted bodice of lace, a round neckline and long sleeves. The full skirt was of net trellised with lace. Her veil of illusion was edged with lace and fell from a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a colonial shower bouquet of white and sweetheart roses. Her jewelry was a pearl necklace and an heirloom diamond brooch set in baroque pearls, belonging to her aunt, Mrs. Huebner. Miss Sandra Mundell of Aurora, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a pink taffeta frock in Empire style with lace panels and a matching nylon net and flower bandeau. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and pink roses. John Orr of Fishtail was best man and ushers were Lyle Lannen and Loren Miller. A sheath of forest-green lace and chiffon was worn by the bride's mother with accessories in pheasant brown. Her corsage was of brown and green cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Huebner was attired in a dusty rose lace frock trimmed with sequins and wore matching accessories and a corsage of pink and brown cymbidium orchids. The bridegroom's mother wore a sheath of beige satin brocade with a corsage of white carnations. A reception was held after the ceremony at the Huebner home, 1666 Poly Dr. Sweetheart roses circled the wedding cake and bouquets of gladioli were arranged throughout the rooms. Mrs. Miles Throop served the..... the bridegroom, and Dixie Durrin of Columbus; Mrs. Helena Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Ramey Hunter of Absarokee; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Sage and Mrs. Fannie Sage of Miles City, grandmother of the bridegroom; Donna Wynn of Miles City and Mrs. Lucille Kinsmo of Livingston, aunt of the bridegroom. David Droegemueller was the usher. Mrs. Sears was attired in a white and gold cotton ensemble with black accessories and a Talisman rose corsage. Mrs. King wore a yellow embossed cotton with white accessories and a white carnation corsage. Afterward a wedding breakfast was served in the Cami'ield Hotel. Decorating the tables were pink gladioli, white carnations and a tiered cake flanked by tapers in crystal candelabra. Miss Sharon Hall of Sidney was in charge of the guest book. Among out-of-state guests were the bride's parents, her grandmother, Mrs. R. Van A. Mills of Ponca City, and her aunt, Mrs. Fred W. Mills of Tulsa, Miss Zelia and Miss Mollie Rank of Fort Collins, aunts of the bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs. Carol Teenor of Boulder, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom. For her wedding trip to Estes Park, the bride wore ..... After a honeymoon trip in the Black Hills the couple will go to Phoenix, for the winter.
The bride was graduated from Billings High School and has been attending Eastern Montana
College of Education. Mr. Smith, a graduate of Absarokee High School, has been
Larry Sears, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and ranching with his father
near Absarokee. Prenuptial parties for the couple included a dinner Friday night at the
Northern Hotel with the bride's mother as hostess. Guests were Dr. and Mrs. Dunkle,
Mr. and Mrs. Orr, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Lannen, members of the bridal party
and immediate relatives of the couple.:
