June 1910 Sterling " A fire occurred In the building occupied by Chas. Pfleger about 2 o'clock Tuesday morning, and only for the prompt action of the fire department the building would have been entirely destroyed. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained, as no one was in the house at the time."

Charles and Ethel divorced in Logan County on March 15, 1912.

March 21, 1913 listing the extreme snowfall "The Burlington 'High Line' between Sterling and Holdrege, Neb., was blockaded for several days. It was while bucking snow on this line Sunday, that Charley Pfleger, an engineer formerly of the Cheyenne-Sterling run, was killed. A drift of wet snow smashed the snow plow and tipped over the engine, crushing him underneath."

Lizzie is most likely Charles' mother, and A.G. is his brother August George Pfleger of Mobile, Alabama.

"Mrs. Ethel Granger, 62, a resident of Casper since 1933, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Memorial hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Granger is survived by her husband Pete Granger of the family home at 230 North Park. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Zetta Gordon of Worland, and Mrs. J. W. Clark of Denver, and two brothers, Charles W. Rainey of LaJunta, Colo., and George H. McFall of Boise, Idaho.
Mrs. Granger was born in Galesburg, Ill., in 1879, and came to Wyoming, locating in Thermopolis, in 1928. She moved to Casper with her husband in 1933.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gay chapel with Dr. William Hints of the First Methodist church conducting the services. Burial will be in the Veterans plot at the Highland cemetery."
