March 18, 1899 "Mrs. Laura E. Livingston, a resident of Denver for the last twenty years,
died at 3:45 p. m. yesterday at the family residence, 351 Broadway, at the age of 68 years.
Mrs. Livingston was the mother of W. F., A. S., and N. E. Livingston,. Mrs. J. B. Hunter,
and Mrs. Ella M. Blonger, all of whom were at her bedside when the end came, except N. E. Livingston,
who is engaged in mining in Idaho. Mrs. Livingston's last illness dates back about four weeks,
but a fatal result was not anticipated until within five days of her death."

June 5, 1919 "Mrs. Clara I. Hunter, wife of City Engineer John B. Hunter, and a
prominent member of the Denver Woman' s club and the Denver Woman's Press club,
died yesterday at the family home at 351 Broadway, succumbing to a nervous
breakdown which
had made her a patient during the last six weeks.
Mr. Hunter and her brother and sister,
Albert S. Livingston, a mining engineer, and Mrs. Ella Blonger,
were present when she died.
Funeral arrangements are to be announced later.
Mrs. Hunter, who was 60 years old, was born at Mt. Carroll, I11,
May 6, 1859, and was married in that state to Mr. Hunter in 1882.
Mrs. Hunter proved an able president of the State Home for Dependent Children
for a number of years, and was highly esteemed as a member of the Woman's
club and the Press club. She was connected also with various charity
organizations, and had takeen an active part in woman's wartime affairs in
Denver.
Her husband, widely known thruout the state as a civil engineer,
has been connected with the engineering department of the city of Denver
for nearly forty years, his services there covering virtually all of his
period of residence in Denver. Mr. Livingston and Mrs. Blonger,
the brother and sister, who reside at 351 Broadway, are the only immediate
relatives surviving, with Mr. Hunter.
An adopted daughter, Mrs. Herbert Starker of Rifle, Colo.,
was notified yesterday of her foster mother's death and started for Denver
at once."

March 26, 1937 " Albert S. Livingston, 70, prominent mining man and pioneer telegraph
and telephone operator of South Dakota, died Wednesday in a Denver hospital.
He had been ill a year. Livingston met Alexander Graham Bell in Philadelphia,
ordered a number of telephone appliances from him, and installed a telephone system at Desdwood, S.D.
At various times he had mining in Cripple Creek, Colo., and Bingham Canon, Utah.
Funeral and burial services will be held here Saturday."
January 1897 " Word comes to us that our friend E. L. Shaffer, favorably known as the surveyor
at the Independence mine, was married in Denver during the past week to an old schoolmate,
a young lady of most estimable character and fine attainments. The many friends of Mr. Shaffer
