October 19, 1916 "NANCY E. JONES was born at Bethana, Mo., September 9, 1862, and died at Willard, Colo., October 6, 1916, at the age of 54 years and 27 days.
At the age of 16 she united with the Baptist church and continued her covenant relations with the same the remainder of her life.
She removed with her parents. Henry and Mary Jones, from Missouri to the state of Nebraska in 1865. Here she was united in marriage to E. L. Harris, December 31, 1882. Seven children were born to them, all of whom are living. Mrs. Harris came with her husband and family to Willard October 12th, 1910.
She leaves to mourn their loss the husband, E. L. Harris, and the following children: Homer A., Hattie E. McIntire, Henry M., Ira T., Mary E. Colson. Flora S. Killerlain, Dora M. Lorny, and a host of sympathizing neighbors and friends.
Mrs. Harris had been a patient sufferer for many years and gladly welcomed the messenger that bade her home. Funeral services were conducted from the M E. church at Willard on Saturday afternoon by W. M. Force, and the remains were laid to rest at Prairie Lawn cemetery."

James A. Killerlain, Age 28, and Flora Harris married on 21 Apr 1914 in Sterling, Colorado.

James Andrew Killerlain registered for WWI in Willard, born July 25, 1885, farming. His reference was Flora S. Killerlain of Willard.

In 1917 James and Math Killerlain of Willare were witnesses for the claim of Homer A. Harris for land in 8 North 55 West.

" Mr. and Mrs. James Killerlain have welcomed a new daughtor to their home. She arrived December 4, 1918."

In 1920, James A. Killerlain is farming, 34, Flora Killerlain 23 Wife, William L. Killerlain 4 Son, and Gladys Killerlain 1 Daughter.

In 1940 Sterling, on Chestnut Street, James Killerlain 54 is widowed, a carpenter, William Killerlain 25 Son is a gas station attendant, and Gladys Killerlain 22 Daughter is a cafe waitress.

GLADYS

(Possibly her husband "P. R. McDowell, 50, brother-in-law of Mrs. F. B. McKenna, died at the Mercy hospital In Denver Wednesday morning. Funeral services will be held in Sterling Friday. Mr. McDowell has visited in Brush frequently and at the time of his death was a salesman for the Graham Paper company of Denver. For a number of years he was publisher of the Julesberg Grit-Advocate. He was also in the newspaper business at Sterling."

On April 7, 1947 in Seattle, Washington, Bruce Graves and Gladys McDowell, both of Sterling, were married by Justice of the Peace William Hoar, witnessed by M.T. SHerman and La A. Kemphper.

"Ellen M. Killerlain, 90, formerly of Salida, died Nov. 15, 2005, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
She was born Aug. 17, 1915, in Holdredge, Neb., to Benjamin and Viola (Ferrier) Williams.
Mrs. Killerlain moved to Salida in 1986. She was a librarian from 1940-1971, most recently working at the University of Nebraska/Omaha.
She received two bachelors degrees. The first from the University of Colorado in 1937, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and her second from the University of Denver in 1940.
Mrs. Killerlain was a member of the United Methodist Church in Salida, Elks Ladies Auxiliary, Chipeta Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, PEO, a founding member of the Alpine Orchestra and a founding member and historian for Shavano Academic Booster Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Killerlain; brother, Wyeth Williams; sister, Lois Williams; sister-in-law, Twyla Williams and daughter-in-law, Sue Ann Killerlain.
Survivors are her son, James (Carolyn) Killerlain of Tulsa, Okla.; daughters, Nancy (David) Sanger of Salida and Ann (Thomas) Hott of Scottsdale, Ariz.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andy (Alison) Sanger of Longmont; Dan (Ryan) Sanger of Longmont, Jennifer Hott of Phoenix, Ariz.; Carolyn Hott of San Francisco, Calif.; Grant (Shannon) Killerlain of Tulsa, Okla.; Heather (Jamie) Nagel of Ft. Collins, Benjamin Killerlain of Dallas, Texas and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. Nov. 21, 2005, at the United Methodist Church in Salida. Private family interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Mrs. Killerlain's favorite charities included Alpine Orchestra, Shavano Academic Booster Club, Habi-tat for Humanity, American Cancer Society and American Lung Association.
