He is survived by his wife and two sons, Verna F. of St. Joseph and Marvin E. of Rockford,
I11., and three grandchildren, Lome, Thomas and Naomi Jean O'Brien. He is the Isst of
a family of four children. Host of his life was spent around Fillmore and St. Joseph.
He was a kind husband, loving father and was liked by all who knew him."

March 19, 1912 Nebraska City " Mrs, Margaret Berry, wife of City Clerk M. C. Berry,
died just before noon Sunday morning,
although for several years she had been an invalid. She arose at the usual hour
Bunday morning and prepared the breakfast for herself and husband, and made
preparations for dinner. While her husband was getting ready for church she lay down
for a short time. Mr. Berry called her, bnt she did not answer.
He investigated and found that she was near death. He at once informed the
neighbors and a doctor, but death came speedily. Mrs. Berry was born in 1846 in
Missouri, where she made her home, until 16, when her parents, following
the example of a number of other people from that state,
removed to Nebraska City. She was married about twenty-five years ago to M. C.
Berry, having been his second wife. Mr. Berry waa a
widower with two children, Charles of Arkanaa and Mrs. William Win..r,
of Wymore, Nebraska. Mrs. Winan? was a visitor at her parents' home until
last Baturday, and it was in ???l-lamln. where she
was spending few days visiting, that she was told of her mother's
sudden death.
Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Berry leaves the following
brother and sisters - Miss Sarah Jefries of Santa Fe, New Mexico;
Mrs. thirrie Marker, Peru, Nebraska; Jeans Jeffries of Nebraska City;
John C. Jeffries, Colorado.
Mrs. Berry was one of the moat lovable and interesting women in Nebraska
City and she was held In the very highest esteem by her friends and neighbors.
Bhe was a devout member of the Presbyterian church while it was conducted
in Nebraska City and after its dissolution became a member of the
Presbyterian church. It is said of her that she was one of the best
and most accurate Bible student in eastern Nebraska. Bhe was a
woman of the highest character, a good wife and a devoted mother to
her husband's children, who loved her as their mother."
