He was a lifelong resident of Willard, living on a ranch southwest of Willard for the past 53 years. He was able to continue to live on his own through sheer determination until his recent illness and death.

In 1941, he joined the U.S. Army for World War II, receiving his training at Camp Clayborn in Louisiana. He was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, and served as a mechanic on the Alaskan Railroad.

In the fall of 1955 they moved north of Stoneham to the MacKenzie farmstead. Paul farmed there and in 1959 the gospel came to the Liberty School House through God's true servants. Paul made his choice to serve God in March of 1962 and was faithful to the end. They moved to the Buckingham Ranch in the fall of 1964, and Paul continued to farm and ranch there until he retired.
Paul met Betty Jean Reed and they were married in February 1997. They lived in Greeley for 24 years and enjoyed traveling, their beloved pets, and fishing. Paul's greatest love was serving God and helping others. To the very end, Paul was praying and waiting for the day when God called him home.

"Anna Marshall, 86, began her life on a farm southeast of Pawnee Pass in Logan County with her parents, Frank and Blanche (Sevic) Hnizdil with assistance from midwife Kitty Otsenberger. She joined two brothers, Frank and Tom Hnizdil on September 15, 1930. She graduated from Merino High School.
She was always a hard worker loving a job well done. Before marrying Everett Marshall on August 12, 1951, she worked and lived in Sterling, CO. After they were wed, Anna cleaned motel rooms in Yuma, CO. Her memories of the messes the pheasant hunters left did not deter her from continuing her cleaning profession. Everett's transfer to the Fort Morgan Safeway Store in 1961 only meant she would clean local homes before doing janitorial work at Green Acres School.
On January 11, 1989, a severe fall on ice ended her full time employability but she still volunteered at Meet & Eat, Valley View Villa, and Caring Ministries. She continued caring for her husband and grandson, her home, yard and flowers, especially her beloved roses. Her philosophy was that she wanted to enjoy her flowers before her death. Anna enjoyed playing the triangle and kazoo in the Silver Notes kitchen band. Even as the Parkinson's disease took some of her abilities away, she would help her well-remembered banana bar recipe to thank people for their help. Thank you for helping her live longer in her home by watching over her as she walked or giving her a ride to a store or activity.
After a pulmonary embolism in January 2007, Anna moved to Valley View for a short rehab. That March she hesitantly sold her trailer and moved from her beloved Fort Morgan to the Willows Assisted Living in Windsor, CO. She lived there until her health again declined with many falls in 2009. In June 2009, Anna moved into the Life Care Center in Greeley, CO, where she lived until her death on December 31, 2012. She loved being there, especially on the days they played Bingo!
Survivors include her children, Everett (Eddie) Marshall Jr. of Potter Valley, CA; Gary Marshall, and his wife Brenda of Windsor, CO; Patricia Notz, and husband Gary, of Calhan, CO; Deborah Everhart and husband Mel of Greeley, CO; 1 daughter in law, Joyalea Radda of Omaha, NE; 2 brothers, Paul Hnizdil (Betty) of Greeley, Vern Hnizdil (Karen) of Eaton, CO; 2 sisters, Addie Johnson (Kent) of Longmont, CO and Vi Christopherson of Casper, WY; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Frank, Tom, and Chuck; a daughter-in-law Sue; a grandson Larry, 2 great great grandchildren Nevaeh and Angelo, and a special friend, Paul."
