a local hospital. She came here 35 years ago from her birthplace,
Winston, Mo. Mrs. Bass helped found the town of Winston and was

lodge there. Surviving are her husband, Elvie J. Bass Sr.; three stepsons, Elvie Jr. of Pittsburgh, Tennis of Illinois and Russell Spann, vice-president of the Southern Arizona hank in Tucson: and a sister, Mrs. Dessie Harris, of Missouri."
