" Wilbert Graybeal, son of John and Isabelle Graybeal, was born in Logan County, Ohio, April 7, 1868,
and passed away at his home at 2504 Indiana Avenue, Kansas City, October 17, 1940.
He came to Missouri with his parents in the fall of 1878, locating at Raymore, where he grew up,
uniting with the Presbyterian Church in early youth. He lived a number of years at Colpay, Kans.,
then later at St. Joseph, Mo., where he was engaged in business. At St. Joseph he was united in
marriage to Miss Villa Buckley. Six children were born to them, two dying in infancy.
The mother died in 1911, and the family located in Kansas City. Later he was married to
Miss Abbie Mimram, who survives. The oldest son, Clyde, died a few years ago.
Surviving also are three sons, Wilbert Jr. of Kansas City, John of Los Angeles, Calif.,
and Frederick of Burbank, Calif., two step sons, Raymond and Tom Mimram of Kansas City,
six grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Lou Craig and Mrs. Emma Shipley of Raymore,
Mrs. Ella Lawson of Kansas City, and Mrs. Ixila Peck of East Olympia, Wash: three brothers,
John of Buckley, Washington, Curtis of Bellingham, Wash., and Orville of Springfield, Mo.
A few years ago he renewed his vows to the church and was very happy in his fellowship
in the church. He was beloved by all who knew him in his everyday life.
The funeral service was held Monday at the Indiana Methodist
by the pastor of that church. Burial was at Raymore."
