Oberlin, Decatur County, Kansas, March 30, 1911 "Marion Coverdell, of Atwood, Colorado, and Miss Bertha Keenan, of Jennings, were united In marriage by Probate Judge MacFee at his office, Wednesday afternoon, March 29, at 2 p. m. The yonng couple expect to make their home at Atwood, Colorado."

April 1916 "Lola May, the 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin P. Coverdell, died Wednesday morning at her parents' residence at Chelsea. Death was due to pneumonia. Funeral services will he held at the residence Friday afternoon."

"Lola, the young daughter and only child of Mr. and Mrs. P. £overdell, passed away from her earthly home early in the morning of Wednesday, March 29. Spasmodic croup was supposed to have been the cause of the little one’s death, and she only suffered scarcely a day. She was two years and eight months old.
The funeral services were not held until Friday, after the arrival of Mrs. Coverdell’s mother and a sister of Mr. Coverdell's, both coming from Kansas. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Coverdell from Atwood and this community in every way express a kind sympathy to the parents in the bereavement of the sunshine of their home."

Coverdell gave a farewell dinner Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Park Coverdell and little son Elwood, who are planning on leaving this week for Wyoming, where they have taken land. Those present were: Miss Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hollingshead and daughter Lena, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Coverdell and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Park Coverdell and son. A very good time was hnd by all and ice cream and cake was served."

Coverdell at Oberlin, Kansas March 29, 1911. To this union were born five children; Lola Amy and Genevieve LaVern, who have both passed on at an early age. She leaves to mourn her passing three children, Elwood Vern, age 12; Areil LeRoy, age 10, and Robert Eugene, age 6, her husband, Park; her father, William F. Keenan; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Koehn of Jennings, Kansas; Mrs. Amy Long of San Ysidro, California; three brothers, Roy, Edgar, and Eugene Keenan, all of Jennings, Kansas, and other relatives."

December 1908 "Bert Kinnick of Pagoda and Miss Bessie Bently left the Frank Ranney ranch, where Miss Bently has been staying, starting on their trip to Meeker after midnight. The wedding ceremony was performed in Meeker Wednesday, December 9th, by Judge Shervin of the county court. Mr. Kinnick is a homesteader in the South Fork country. Miss Bently recently came here with her mother, Mrs. Ada Ranney. It is said the couple eloped because of the opposition of Miss Bently's relatives to the marriage."

January 20, 1981 " Marion Park Coverdell, 90, died Monday in his home at 148 Forest Hills Road, Kalispell. He was born June 12, 1890, in Allendale, to William and Sarah Coverdell.
He received his schooling in Missouri where he attended normal school. He taught school in Kansas and Missouri for a number of years. He married Bertha Keenan in Missouri. She preceded him in death. In 1930 he moved to Colorado and worked in sawmills.
He married Muriel Kinnick in Sterling, Colo. He was employed at a defense plant at the Ogden Air Field in Utah during World War U. In 1946 he started farming north of Kalispell and later moved to town. In 1956 he remarried in Kalispell. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include four sons, Elwood, Seeley Lake; Arell, Kalispell; Robert, Condon; and Donald, Bigfork; a daughter, May Marie Vance, Kalispell; a brother, Vern, Aurora, 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell with the Rev. Ron Pierce officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home in Kalispell."

Missoula, Montana, April 26, 1990 "Muriel Leora Aragon, 74, of Kalispell, died of natural causes Tuesday, April 24, at Kalispell Regional Hospital. Born 3, 1915, in Clifty, to Richard Bertram and Bessie Ada Kinnick, she lived with her family in several southern and western states. On Sept. 8, 1932, she married Marion Park Coverdell in Del Norte, Colo. They later were divorced.
On Dec. 6, 1954, she married Joel Aragon in Aztec, N.M. They lived in Albuquerque, N.M., and California before moving to Kalispell in 1957. Since then, they've lived mostly in the Flathead Valley.
Mrs. Aragon was a nurse's aide in New Mexico and Denver and at Big fork Convalescent Center and St. Joseph's Convalescent Home before retiring.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Aragon Willing Workers and the Montana association for the blind. She and her husband resided at Lake View Care Center.
Preceding her in death were twin stepsons, Earl and Murel Coverdell; a daughter, Peggy Ann Coverdell; a sister, Ada Leona Cherry; and a brother, Wilbur Ross Kinnick.
Survivors include her husband, Lake View Care Center; a son, Donald Coverdell, Mondovi, a daughter, May Vance, Swan Lake; three stepsons, Bob and Jack Coverdell, both of Seeley Lake, and Arell Coverdell, Martin City; a sister, Bessie Gillim, Lincoln, 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday until 8 p.m. at Johnson Mortuary. Mass of the Resurrection will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edmund Smith as celebrant. Burial will be at Glacier Memorial Gardens."

"Jack served in the Air Force during World War II, where he met his wife of 61 years. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
He moved to Montana with his wife in 1947 and worked as a farmer and rancher in the Kalispell area. The family moved to the Swan Valley in 1964, where he began a career working in small lumber mills as a head sawyer. In 1973, he moved his family to Seeley Lake where he lived until his passing.
He was a loving husband and father and was always there for his family.
His family includes his wife Peggy of the family home; two children, Jack Coverdell, his wife Camille and their daughters Rosey and Beth of Westwood, Calif., and Cathy Roe and her husband Opie of Philipsburg and her children, Christy (Rob) Hughes, Mike Hamilton and Jack (Bri) Hamilton; great-grandchildren Marcus and Trenten Hughes; a brother, Don Coverdell of Nevada; and a sister, May Vance and her husband Ken of Swan Lake.
At Jack's request, no services are planned."

May was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Peggy Ann Coverdell; and her brothers, Elwood Vern "Jack" Coverdell, Arell LeRoy Coverdell and Robert "Bob" Eugene Coverdell. May was survived by her husband, Kenneth Lloyd Vance; two sons; one daughter; a brother; and six grandchildren. May passed away Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, at Healthcenter Northwest in Kalispell, Montana, after a courageous bout with scleroderma (CREST disease)."
