Thomas J. "Tom" Morris, a resident of Montrose since 1984, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 14, 2004, at the Montrose Memorial Hospital in Montrose. The son of Rosco L. and Lulu M. (Bryan) Morris, he was born on Oct. 23, 1916, in Memphis, Mo. He spent his childhood years in Memphis, Mo., and Omaha, Neb. He graduated from high school in Omaha. On Jan. 21, 1941, Tom was united in marriage and a lifetime partnership with Bernice M. "Bea" Welliver in Olathe, Kan. Tom and Bea would have celebrated their 63rd wedding an.niversary this month on Jan. 21. They moved from the Denver area in 1984 to Montrose where they made their home until the time of Tom's death. Prior to his retirement, Tom was employed as an airline inspector, working for TWA and Frontier Airlines for over 50 years. Surviving family members who were grateful to share in Tom's life include his wife, Bernice M. "Bea" Morris, of Montrose; three sons: Philip D. "Phil" Morris and wife Karen, also of Montrose; Thomas W. "Tom" Morris and wife Anita, of Yachats, Ore.; Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Morris and wife Cindy, of Mitchell, Neb."

"A Colorado resident since 1956, Bernice M. "Bea" Morris, age 85, of Montrose, died Tuesday evening, March 28, 2006, at the Montrose Memorial Hospital.
Bea was born in North Platte, Neb., on Aug. 28, 1920, the daughter of Royce T. and Ethel S. (Ash) Welliver.
On Jan. 21, 1941, Bea was united in marriage with Thomas J. "Tom" Morris at Olathe, Kan. After sharing nearly 63 years of marriage, Tom preceded Bea in death on Jan. 14, 2004, in Montrose, Colo.
In 1956, Bea, a homemaker, moved with her family from Kansas City, Mo., to Westminster, Colo. In 1984, she and Tom moved to Montrose, Colo., where they both resided until the times of their deaths.
The light and love of Bea's life was her family. She was a homemaker all of her life and was always there for her three sons. Bea was an avid Rockies baseball fan.
Surviving family members who were so honored to share Bea's life include her three sons: Philip D. "Phil" Morris and wife Karen, of Montrose, Colo.; Thomas W. "Tom" Morris and wife Anita, of Monmouth, Ore.; Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Morris and wife Cindy, of Mitchell, Neb.; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Tom, Bea was also preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers.
Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel.
A funeral service in loving remembrance and to celebrate Bea's life will be officiated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in the Grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose."

" Vera Welliver Kreple, 80, of Amery, Wis., formerly of North Platte, passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2006.
She was born June 22, 1925, on a ranch near North Platte. Vera was the youngest of 11 chil-dren born to Royce and Suzanna Welliver. She was a 1943 graduate of North Platte High School and a member of the National Honor Society. Following graduation, Vera was employed with TWA airlines in Washington, D.C., and in Kansas City, Mo. She later moved to Santa Ana, Calif., where she cared for her brother's two daughters after he was killed in World War II. While there, she met John Kreple, who was stationed at El Toro Marine Corps base.
On Aug. 23, 1946, John and Vera were married in Grand Rapids, Mich. To their marriage were born two sons and a daughter, Jon (Nancy) of Holland, Mich., Mark (Mary Ann) of Ply-mouth, Wis., and Mary Louise (Larry) Wojchik of Clear Lake, Wis."

"Mrs. Marie Schram, wife of Ed Schram of Boulder, formerly of North Platte, died at noon Tuesday at her home in Boulder, according to word received here by relatives. She had spent her entire life in this community until about four years ago. She moved to Boulder with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Thursday at the Catholie church in Boulder, with burial in tho cemetery there.
Surviving, beside her husband, are two children, Edmund and Joan; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Royce T. Welliver of North Platte; four sisters, Mrs. Chester Jones of Laguna Beach, Mrs. Milford Willorton, Sidney; Miss Vera Welliver of North Platts; and Miss Bernice Welliver of Boulder; three brothers, Robert and Russell of North Platte; and Royce of Laguna Beach.
Her parents, and Mrs. Royce T. Welliver and her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Welliver departed this morning for Boulder."

Edmund remarried, on April 13, 1940 in Boulder to Florence B. Amberg of Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Edmund and Gloria attended the service.

Robert Dean Welliver was born on August 26, 1945, in Boulder, Colorado, the son of Robert David and Ellen Louise Bishop Welliver. He was united in marriage to Catherine Ann Boyd on April 15, 2000. She survives.
Robert was the last member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by parents and one sister, Judy Marie Cooper.
Robert graduated from the North Platte, Nebraska High School and the North Platte Community College. He then served in the United States Navy. He retired as an Underground Cable Locator. He is a member of the DAV McLean County Chapter # 60."
