December 10, 1956 - Edward West, 89, of 916 Fifth street died Sunday
morning at Weld County General hospital. He was known as Daddy West and had
lived in Colorado most of his life. He homesteaded in eastern Colorado
and lived for a time at Salida. For the past 50 years, he had resided in
the Loveland and Greeley communities. Surviving are five sons and five
daughters, Sankey West of Glenwood Springs, Paul, of Boulder, Willis of
Baldwin Park, Calif., Orville of Montesano, Wash., and Moody West of
Estes Park,-Mrs. Stannie Jones of Estes Park, Mrs. Edna Burkard of
Montesano, Wash., Mrs. Lela McGrew and Mrs. Esther Williams, both of
Angeles, and Mrs. Edith Hadley of Loveland. Also surviving
are a sister and a brother, Mrs. Ocie Phelps of Loveland and Will West
of Guernsey, Wyo. Funeral services will be held st 2 o'clock
.Tuesday afternoon from the Kibbey Funeral Home, Loveland with interment
at the Loveland cemetery. |
