| Spencer Wall was born in Shenango county, New York, March 29, 1852,
and died February 5, 1930, aged 77 years, 10 months and 7 days. When but
an infant his parents moved to Ohio where they lived six years. They
then moved to Page county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. He attended
the Clarinda high school and taught school for several years in Page
county. In 1885 he was married to Emma Kent, who passed away November 1, 1923. In 1886 he homesteaded in western Nebraska. He served two terms as county treasurer of Perkins county. In 1903 he moved to Franklin, Nebr., where he has made his home ever since. He was converted at the age of fifteen and lived a faithful, consistent Christian life to the end. Soon after coming to Franklin he placed his membership in the Congregational church, of which he remained a member until his death. His whole life's story may be told in almost his last words, "I have done the best I could. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Morris George of Farmington, Wash., six grandchildren, and two brothers, David Wall of Orland. California and Edward Wall of Home Lake, Colorado. Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday in charge of Rev. H. W.
