In 1899  H.M. Howatt, was the health officer of Cripple Creek- Teller County."

1900 the Daily Sun of St. John, New Brunswick "George A. Howatt of Cripple Creek, a native of Tryon, has arrived home with his wife and child to visit relatives here.  He is a member of a large contracting firm in Cripple Creek."

In 1940 Portland, Oregon, William Howatt, 46, is divorced, with uncle Clarence Harrison, 61 and his wife Ruby, 56.

One tree says Earl died 1928 in Alberta, Canada, and is buried in Hanna, Alberta. Bulah Marie Hindman was born August 1903 in Minneapolis, MN, USA. In 1922 she married first Earl T. Howatt of Golden Hills area. To this marriage was born four children: Marie Alice, Earline, Earl Jr., and Lillian. In 1928 while Mrs. Howatt was in the hospital delivering Lillian, their youngest, tragedy struck. Earl was thrown from a plow and so severely injured that he passed away a few days later in the Hanna Hospital.

For a few years Mrs. Howatt managed with the help of her family then in 1933 she married Elmer Mumert. Elmer and Marie had three children, Marvin, Charles Dwayne, and Leona.

Edgar A. Howatt, born June 28, 1903 in Colorado, died June 28, 1975 in San Bernardino County, California.
