1890 Sterling newspaper "Miss Carrie Dressler has came (sic) back from a sojourn in Yuma county, and is imroving her timber claim. She is the champion rustler and the envy of many an old bachelor."
Caroline cash-claimed a quarter in 30, 7N 48W in 1891. She proved up 240 acres in 26, 7N 49W, and timber-claimed a quarter in 25, 7N 49W in 1903.
In 1900 Rockland precinct, Carrie Dressler, born Jan 1860 in Germany, immigrating in 1872, is a "horse raiser"
In 1910 Rockland Precinct, Caroline is widowed, 49, born in Germany.
She was living on the section 25 quarter in 1917 - a mile east of a church.
In 1920 Rockland precinct she's single, still farming.
In 1930 she's probably the "Carolina" Dressler, 70, in the Colorado asylum in Pueblo. She died in 1930, and the obituary is in the Pueblo Chieftain September 10, 1930.
September 12, 1930 "The body of Caroline Dressler was forwarded Thursday night to Sterling, Colo for services and interment."
She was buried in Sterling Riverside September 12, 1930, born 1861
