He owned that quarter in 1917, and a mile north in section 25, C. Dinnsen owned a quarter. Dietleff was also leasing two quarters of the "school section " 36 in 1917.
Dethleff registered with a Haxtun address, born Feb 28, 1881, was working for himself, and nearest relative was Broder Dinsen of Plainview, Pierce County, Nebraska.
In 1920 Sherman County, Kansas, "Ethleff" Dinsen is single, born in Germany.
In 1930 Sherman County, Dethleff is 49, immigrating in 1888, married to Nora K. 47, both saying they were born in Denmark, immigrating in 1904. She was married first at age 25.
In 1940 they're still farming in Sherman County.
Dave Dinsen passed away Suddenly (Dettlief Dinsen)
Friends here were shocked to hear of the death of Dave Dinsen who passed away
Thursday, December 29th at the Booth Roy Memorial Hospital after a short illness
of a few hours. Mr. Dinsen who was sixty-eight at the time of his passing was
born in Denmark on February 28 1881, and has been a resident of Sherman County
since 1919, coming here from Brush, Colorado.
The Family purchased a farm west of Goodland on which they made their home until
Mrs. Dinsen was in death in 1942 at which time Mr. Dinsen moved to Goodland. Mr.
Dinsen was an active member of the Elks Lodge and took a deep interest in lodge
work. He is survived by three brothers and one sister, Carsten Dinsen of
Boulder, Colorado, Christian Dinsen and Broder Dinsen both of Portland, Oregon,
and Mrs. Hans Rasmussen, of Brunswick, Nebraska. Also one nephew, Ewald
Rasmussen, of Goodland, besides a host of other relatives and friends of the
community.
Services were held Monday at Lester F. Sage. Pall bearers were Albert Holton,
Louis Lohr, Mark Broschinksi, Carl Nordman, Lawrence House, and William Cole.

Mrs. Dinsen Gone
Mrs. Elenora Christine Dinsen, who has been in failing health for about five
years and critically ill for the past few weeks, passed away about 1 o’clock
this morning, December 30th at the hospital where she had been for about two
weeks. Death was due to heart failure and complications.
Mrs. Dinsen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, March 26, 1883, being 59 years old.
She came to the United States, May 30th 1905. On October 27th 1926, she was
married to Detheff Dinsen at Littleton, Colorado, and they have made their home
here since. Her Husband survives her.
She leaves a Twin sister, Mrs. Thora Johnson at Greeley, Colorado and a brother,
Albert Jensen still resides in Copenhagen, Denmark. Mrs. Dinsen was baptized in
the Lutheran church of Denmark, and remained in that church throughout her life.
Funeral services will be held at the Sage Funeral Chapel but the time as not
been definitely set, probably Friday or Saturday, and the body will be taken to
Brush, Colorado for Burial. 70298691

| Holyoke Enterprise, Holyoke, Colorado, January 27, 1949 PIONEER RESIDENT PASSES AWAY HERE Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon of this week at the Lewis Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Metha Hansen, resident of Phillips County since 1909. Mrs. Hansen passed away January 22 at the Holyoke hospital after being bedfast at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Critchlow, since November 15, 1948. The following is her life history as read by Rev. Oliver W. Brock: Metha Maria, daughter of Broder and Christina Dinnsen, was born in Germany *(That area was alternately part of Germany and part of Denmark), September 30, 1874 and passed away at the local hospital Saturday evening, January 22, at the age of 74 years, three months, and 22 days. She was baptized as a child in the Grace Lutheran church. At the age of thirteen, Mrs. Hansen came to America with her parents and settled in Nebraska. On March 27, 1894 she was married to Ole Hansen, and two sons and two daughters blessed their home. One son, Walter, died when 10 days old. In 1909 Mrs. Hansen came with her husband and three children to Colorado. They lived on their farm northeast of Holyoke until twelve years ago when she was stricken with arthritis and they had to move to town. Mr. Hansen passed away September 2, 1942, but Mrs. Hansen continued to live alone until November 15, 1948 when she became bedfast and was taken to the home of her daughter, where she remained until three days before her death. Mrs. Hansen was a patient sufferer, a kind devoted mother and was loved by all that knew her well. Those left to mourn her passing are her three children, Elmer Hansen and Agnes Critchlow of Holyoke, Malvina Krueger of Compton, California, one sister, four brothers, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Miss Lorene McWilliams and Mrs. Oliver W. Brock and Mrs. Fred C. Hagemann, pianist furnished special music for the services. Pallbearers were: George Miller, D.F. Sagehorn, Perl Balderson, Rex Evans, Roy Gebhart and William Prussman. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Lewis Funeral Home and interment was in the Holyoke cemetery. | Mrs. Rasmussen, 81 Dies at Columbus Funeral services for Mrs. Hans Rasmussen 81, who died Sunday evening at a Columbus hospital were held Wednesday afternoon at Bethany Lutheran church near Brunswick. The church service at 2:30pm were preceded by services at the Ashburn Mortuary in Plainview. Burial was in the Danish Cemetery. Pallbearers were her nephews Albert, Ted, Melvin and Art Johnson, Fred Jensen and Pete Christensen. Mrs. Rasmussen was preceded in death by her husband who died in August 1950, and by a sister and brother. She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Christina Andersen and Mrs. Lillian Calkins of Brunswick, Mrs. Verda Richardson of North Hollywood, California and Mrs. Mildred Beckner of Compton, California; Four sons, Marion of Brunswick, Alfred of Columbus, Wiggo of Kearney and Ewald of Goodland, Kansas. | Christian Dinnsen of 7748 SW Burlingame, Ave., a Portland resident
for the past 24 years, died at home Friday. He was 98. Mr. Dinnsen was born July 18, 1871, in Ladelundfeld, Schlewig-Holstein, Germany, and came to the United States in 1888. He first settled in a farming community in Nebraska, then farmed in Colorado and Kansas until he retired and came to Portland. Survivors include his brother, Carsten Dinnsen Sr., of Boulder Colorado.
