John F. and Elizabeth (Felderman) Schroeder

In 1870 Elizabeth Felderman is 7, in Jackson County Iowa with parents William and Sophia.

Lizzie Felderman married John Schroder January 21, 1879 in Jackson County, Iowa.

In 1880 Jackson County John "Schroder" born in Hanover,  and Elisabeth have Elvina, 1.

John Schroeder proved up  a quarter in 25, 6N 49W, Logan County Colorado,  in 1895.

John F. Schroeder is in 1900 Teller County, Colorado,  a merchant of household goods born January 1850 in Germany, married 22 years to Elizabeth A., born March 1862 in Iowa. She's had two kids, and they  have John H. Sept 1880 Iowa - a laborer in a reduction works.

 Elizabeth was the daughter of Frederick William Felderman and Sophia Rosina, per one tree.  Frederick's 1915 obituary doesn't mention Elizabeth, so she possibly had died.

John Felderman's obituary - dying in Yuma County, Colorado - per the Ancestry tree  is a brother - doesn't mention her, either.

Elvina S. Schroeder married Jacob A. Steffy May 17, 1896 in El Paso County.

In 1900 Fremont County "Jacob S. Steffy"  is 31, Elvine 21, with Clarence E. 3 and George E. 1.

Elvena S. Steffy, 1879-Nov 23, 1909 is buried in Lakeside, Canon City.  # 110611499.  So are Clarence 1898-1959 and George 1899-1959 and their spouses.  FindAGrave says that John Alexander "Jacob" Steffy 1869-1923 buried there is her husband.

In 1910 Fremont County, Jacob A. Steffy is widowed, 41, born in Pennsylvania.  He has Clarence E. 13 and George G. 11, both born in Colorado.

J.A. Steffy, born about 1869, married Myrtle L. Coalson November 21, 1910 in Canon City.  They divorced in Fremont County in 1915.

In 1940 Canon City Clarence E. Steffy is 42, Joyce B. 39, and they have George S. 11.

George S. Steffy - Pueblo Chieftain - October 12, 1999 - George S. Steffy, age 70, of Pueblo, born Nov. 16, 1928, in Canon City, passed away Oct. 11, 1999, in Pueblo. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Josephine Steffy, and his children, Carolyn (Frank) Kovacich, George (Pauline) Steffy and Donna Steffy. Grandfather of Frankie (Kim) Kovacich, Shelley (Terry) Lewis, Sheri (Scott) Peter, Lisa Kovacich and Traci, Kelly and Melissa Steffy. Great-grandfather of Kelsi and Kody Kovacich and Richard and Nicholas Lewis. Also survived by his sister, Evelyn Huskey of Canon City, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Steffy married Josephine Vendetti on June 9, 1948. He retired from Dana Corporation with 40 years of service. He was also a lifetime member of Florence Elks Club No. 611. He enjoyed spending his summers at Blue Mesa Ranch in Gunnison fishing with his family and friends. When not fishing, George could be found hauling hay with his son and grandchildren. Cremation, Almont Crematory. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, George McCarthy Historic Chapel. The family will receive friends at the family home and respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers. A memorial service will be held Thursday in Gunnison, Colo.

John H. Schroeder married Anna Smith April 24, 1902, recorded in Denver County.  Probably not - the trees say this John was born in Hanover 1870.

John Schroeder married Mary M. Shatton February 21, 1908, recorded in Jefferson County.

Lena G. Schulz is 22, born in Germany, single,  in 1910 Kit Carson County, a servant for the Emma and Clio Judy sisters, 22 and 20, both born in Iowa.

John F. Schroeder, born about 1882,  married Helena Schulz, born about 1889, on  August 6, 1911, recorded in Kit Carson County.

Lena C. Schroeder claimed a quarter in 16, 6N 51W in 1918.  It's not in the BLM records, so she must have acquired this "school land"  from the state of Colorado.
