In 1900 Pearle Stone, born Nov 1887 in Pennsylvania, with her sister Sylvia 7 is living with grandparents Andrew J. Donalson 61 and Mary Donalson 60 in Mercer County.
Alonzo K. Ride, a pattern maker residing at Buiter County, married Pearl B. Stone September 25, 1907 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. Consent was given by William Ride of Jackson Center and Emma B. Stone of Grove City.
Alonzo 22 and Pearl B. 22 (he's been married two years, Pearl one year !) are in Leroy precinct, Logan County. Both were born in Pennsylvania.
Alonzo proved up a quarter in 20, 6N 49W in 1914.
He registered with a Fleming address, saying he had a wife and a child five years old.
In 1920 A.K. and Pearl have Paul, 7.
A resident of Englewood for 35 years, A. K. Ride, 4200 So. Delaware
St., died May 6, 1972 at his home.
He had undergone major surgery at Swedish Hospital April 24 and had
returned home. Death was caused by a blood clot in his lung.
Funeral services were held at Howard Mortuary May 9 with Masonic
services at the graveside at Hampden Memorial Estates.
He was born Jan 26, 1888 at Jackson Center, Pa., where he grew up.
He married Pearl Stone on Sept 25, 1907 in Grove City, Pa. They
homesteaded a farm south of Fleming, Colo., and came to Englewood in
1937.
Mr. Ride was employed as a pattern maker at General Ironworks for 21
years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife and a son, Paul, of Fleming; one grandson
and one great granddaughter; two brothers, Tom Ride of Santa Monica,
Calif., and Albert Ride of San Francisco; and a sister, Mrs. Agnes
Perrine of Escondido, Calif.

In 1940 Logan County Paul and Alma, both 28, are farming.
Paul Wilbert Ride, 100, of the New Haven community, passed into
eternal life on Feb. 16, 2012. He now resides with his Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ and with his wife, Alma. Visitation will be at 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Leroy Methodist Church, followed by the funeral
service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jodie Harless will officiate. Interment will
be at Leroy Cemetery. Paul was born Feb. 1, 1912, to Alonzo K. Ride and Pearl (Stone) Ride. He was born and lived 98 years in the New Haven community and moved into assisted living at The Aladdin in Brush at the age of 98 1/2 and passed away in the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Paul married Alma M. Schachterle on March 9, 1933, in her parents' home in the Rockland community. They celebrated 71 years of happy life together. His 100th birthday was celebrated with a reception on Jan. 29, 2012, with many friends and relatives. He always said he was going to live to be 100 years old, and he accomplished 100 years, two weeks and two days. Paul farmed and was a master carpenter all his working life. He made and gave away beautiful wood creations, which are now treasured by family and friends. He is survived by his son Larry of Brush; Ellen Mellott, wife of his deceased foster son, Major Vernon Mellott; two grandchildren, Michele Ballard and husband Kenneth of Victoria, Texas, and Justin P. Ride of Yuma; two great-grandsons, Skylar and Trenton Ballard of Victoria; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Memorials can be made to the Leroy United Methodist Church. Alma Minnie Ride, 92, of Fleming, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, in
Haxtun. Visitation is Thursday, June 3 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chaney-Reager
Funeral Home. Funeral services are Friday, June 4, at 10:30 am. at LeRoy
United Methodist Church with Revs. Al Strauss and Keith Hudiburgh
