John D. Rahin 

 John proved up  a quarter in 31, 6N 49W in 1890.

Possibly the John Rahen in 1885 Denver, boarding with the Charles Grant family - dozen boarders - he's 52, born in Germany, no occupation.

A long distance, but John D. Rahin married Ella Johnson February 20, 1890 in St. Johns County, Florida.

20 Oct. 1847, John Rahin and wife Ellen L. to Hiram Duncan, both Jefferson Co. IL, $100, 40 acres, S 1/4 SE 1/4 Sec. 21, T2S, R3E. Wit. William J. Thomas, Delilah Stephnon (sic).

There's no RAHIN close in age, so it might be a "Rabin" or "Rahm" that's misspelled in BLM records.
