Youngest daughter of Dr. Eliakim Crosby and his first wife, Marcia Beemer; born in the village of Middlebury (now Akron), Portage Co. (now Summit), Ohio. Married on 19 October 1842 in Summit Co, to Hon. Henry W. King, who died in Akron in 1857. Mother of two children: Henry C. King (d. 1864) and Julia H. King Fisher.

 Married, on October 10, 1842 to Mary Crosby, the third daughter of Dr. Elakim Crosby, who would bare Henry two children, a daughter, Julia Huntington; and son Henry “Harry” Crosby King.

Henry’s daughter Julia married an engineer, moved to Colorado 

Henry’s brother David, served a term on the Akron Board of Education, oversaw all the business and land holdings of this father after his and brother’s Henry’s deaths. He retired from the practice of law in 1867. David built the Valley Railroad, now a tourist attraction through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and was involved in numerous other commercial ventures in Akron.

An elementary school in Akron’s public school system was built in 1923 and named King Elementary School. It was named for Leicester, Henry and David King.

In 1860 Chicago, Mary C. is living with half-sister Louesa M. 39 and her husband W.H. Dewey, 47, a coal dealer.

Julia H. King is 12, also with them.

In 1880 Colorado Springs Homer D. Fisher, 34 and Julia H. 32 are running a boarding house, with Louisa D. 8 and Frank C. 5, both born in Illinois. Mother Mary C. King, 59, is with them.

In 1885 Colorado Springs, Homer, 38 is a lumber merchant, and he and Julia have Louisa 13, Franklin 10, Helen 4, and Oliver 2.  Mary C. King, 62 is still with them.
