Stanley Orrin Hall, F.Sc., U.S.N. died Dec 26, 1937 near Sapulpa, Oklahoma,
on authorized leave from U.S.S West Virginia, next of kin, father, Mr. Orrin
Hal, Fleming, Colorado.
Stanley Hall, 21, of Fleming, Colorado U. S. marine, was killed instantly
early Sunday in a collision on a fog- blanketed highway near Sapulpa, Okla.
His skull was crushed as cars apparently collided headon,, then
overturned. A fellow marine and two, Sapulpa youths were injured. A highway
patrolman said the accident was unavoidable. Hall's body will be sent to
Fleming.
In 1940 Logan County Orrin and Ruth are both 50, with Jack, 20.

Russ was born
July 28, 1933, in
Monterey, Calif., to
Robert and Vivian
Cropley. Russ
graduated from
Monterey Union High
School in 1952 and
served in the Navy
with the Seabees on
the Aleutian Islands
off Alaska. After
his Navy service,
Russ received his
bachelor’s degree in
industrial arts from
San Jose State
College and his
master’s degree in
vocational education
administration from
Oregon State
University.
Russ’ career in
education spanned 33
years. He worked as
a teacher,
administrator and
principal in
California, Oregon,
Alaska and
Washington. He
taught industrial
arts and vocational
carpentry in the
Reynolds School
District from 1971
to 1982, and served
as head of the
teachers’ union.
During his
retirement, Russ
traveled and served
as a volunteer and
construction
supervisor on
several church
building projects.
He served his church
congregations in
numerous ways,
especially through
music. He produced a
CD of some of his
favorite gospel
music. He was active
in the Gresham
Kiwanis and served
as a chapter
president in
Roseville, Calif.
He was preceded
in death by three
brothers and a
sister.
Survivors include
Elaine Cropley, his
wife of 56 years;
children, Jeff
Cropley of Fort
Worth, Texas, Dion
McClure of
Vancouver, Wash.,
Scott Cropley of
Vancouver, Leslie
Grande of Eagle
River, Alaska, and
Sally Fantasia of
Sacramento, Calif.;
brother, Greg Culver
of Monterey; 13
grandchildren; and
16
great-grandchildren.

A strong, honorable Christian man went home to be with the Lord on
Friday, June 5, 2009. Richard Milton Cropley passed away at Mercy
Medical Center in Redding. CA after a long illness.
Richard was born to Robert and Vivian Cropley on March 24, 1932 in
Monterey, CA.
He grew up on the Monterey Peninsula, working in his father's mill. |
Artelle Ruth Kienitz born Jan 20, 1914 in Colorado, died July 16, 1995 in San
Bernardino County, father Hall, mother Schooley. Artelle and Alfred
L. Kienitz 1918-2009 - share a tombstone in Riverside Cemetery, Gem County,
Idaho.# 68140733 "Al met Artelle Hall while stationed in Banning, Calif.,
and they were married in February 1945. They had one son, John Hall Kienitz. Al
and Artelle celebrated over 50 years of marriage until her death in 1995. While
living in California, Al farmed 3,000 acres in the Beaumont, Calif., area."
Jack Harlan Hall, born Jan 10, 1920, died Nov 12, 1991 in San Bernardino
County, mother's maiden name Schooly.
Jack and Rose Nadine (Spelts) Hall 1924-1962 are buried in Sterling.#
