HERMISTON - Lucille May Michieli, who co-owned and operated L. J.
Michieli Electric for many years, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at
Rose Arbor Assisted Living Facility. She was 93.
A recitation of the rosary will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Burns
Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. A mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Monday at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston with
burial to follow at Hermiston Cemetery.
Mrs. Michieli was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Fleming, Colo., to Alfred
William and Fay Luetta Dillon Gallon.
She was raised in Colorado and on Feb. 1, 1936, married Leno Jim
"Mac" Michieli in Sterling, Colo. They moved to Hermiston in 1940.
Mrs. Michieli was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church and
the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed crafts, dancing, and playing
bingo.
She is survived by daughter Susan Jones of Pendleton; son Barney
Michieli of The Dalles; sister Eloise McFarland of Hermiston;
brother Ray Gallon of Hermiston; three grandchildren; and three
great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and brother, Merle Gallon.

Eloise Gertrude McFarland was born January 9, 1915, in Fleming,
Colorado, the daughter of the late Alfred William Gallon and Fay
Lovetta (Dillon) Gallon. At the age of three years old, she moved
with her family to Sterling, Colorado, where she was raised and
received her education.
She was united in marriage to Robert “Kenny” Gibbs on August 10th,
1940, in Natchez, Washington. Following their marriage they resided
in the Hermiston community. They later divorced.
On November 23rd, 1960, Eloise was united in marriage to Eugene
McFarland at Hermiston, Oregon. Following their marriage they made
their home in the Hermiston community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, on July 2nd, 1982,
after celebrating over twenty-one years of marriage together. Eloise
moved to Hillsboro in 2007 to be closer to her daughter, Judy and
family.
Eloise worked as a fish counter at Umatilla Dam for the Army Corps
of Engineers for over twenty years, until she retired at the age of
62.
Among her special interests she enjoyed dancing, fishing and
gardening, especially caring for her tomatoes and roses. Eloise also
enjoyed spending summers on Francois Lake, British Columbia, Canada.
She also had a special love for dogs and cats, and was known in the
neighborhood as the cat lady. She was president of the Golden Age
Club from 1990 to 1991 and was also a Good Shepherd Hospital
Auxiliary volunteer for many years. She was a longtime member of the
Eagles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred William Gallon and
Fay Lovetta Gallon Armstrong; her brother, Merle Gallon and her
sister, Lucille Michiele.
Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Judy and Steven
Reynolds, of Hillsboro, Oregon; and her brother, Raymond Gallon, of
Hermiston, Oregon.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Stephanie Williams, Travis
Reynolds, Heather Nadeau, Michelle Baldwin and Laura McFarland, and
her four great-grandchildren.

Leland, born Dec 22, 1922, was in the Navy in WWII, and died April 11, 2008, buried in Riverside National, per 72629724.
William Joseph Gallon, born Sep 20, 1891 in Nebraska, died Feb 14, 1979 in Los Angeles. One web post said William was buried at Pomona, California.
