In 1920 Rockland precinct, Martha is married to Andrew Stingley, with Joseph Edgar 8, Barbera Edgar 5, and Charline Stingley eighteen months, and Bernard Stingley one month.

 Andrew and Martha moved to Wyoming between 1935 and 1940 and are buried in Powell, Wyoming.  Martha 106550740

Joseph "Joe" Owen Edgar, 94, died Feb. 15, 2006, at Powell Valley Care Center.

He was born near New Haven, Colo., on June 12, 1911, to Joseph Floyd and Martha Curtis Edgar Stingley. He was the oldest of eight children.

He served in the Army 1933-36 at Fort Francis E. Warren in Cheyenne. After being honorably discharged he moved to Powell where he married Doris Cunningham in 1939.

They owned Edgar Motors in Powell for 30 years. He was a reliable and honest mechanic. Mrs. Edgar did the bookkeeping for their business. They would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in June.

He was a member of the Planning and Zoning Board in the 1950s and also a member of the "Powell Walking Blood Bank," donating blood to those in need of his blood type.

When not working he enjoyed spending time with his family, and tending his yard and garden.


He loved Sunday drives with his family, having picnics and visiting Yellowstone Park and Horseshoe Bend.

He is survived by his wife, children Carol (Wiley) Layne of Lovell and Sue (Paul) Sironen of Cody, granddaughter Stephanie (Dave) Valentine of Cody, brother James (Elizabeth) Stingley of Worland, sister Audrey (Eldon) Willock of Renton, Wash., and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Andrew Stingley, sisters Barbara Clark and Charlene Brown, brothers Bernard, Charley and Paul Stingley and grandson Ronald Layne.

Funeral services were Tuesday at First Southern Baptist Church in Powell. Burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Barbara Edgar married Randall Clark May 23, 1934, recorded in Yuma County.

In 1940 Magee precinct, Randol L. Clark is 29, Barbra A. 24, with Delina Jeane 4.  Randol works at a gas station, so that has to be Clarkville (Miles Clark, 56, and Mary 54 are the next family, with Dale Reed Clark 22, Norman Miles 18, and Marie Mildred 11.  Dale Clark ran the gasoline station in the 1950's.)

One tree said Barbara Alice Edgar was born Nov 30, 1914 and died June 24, 1988 in Littleton.

Wallace J. Edgar was a mail carrier in Fleming precinct in 1920 and in 1930,  43, born in Kansas, married to Edythe 35, Iowa, and Charles F. 11, born in Colorado.

Charles Franklin Edgar 1918-1939 is buried in Sterling.

Wallace and Edythe are still in Fleming in 1940, still a mail carrier.
