BURY FORMER RESIDENT IN HOLYOKE CEMETERY
The body of George Clark, a former resident of Holyoke, but who lived later near
Julesburg, was buried in the Holyoke cemetery Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Clark,
who was about 60 years old, lived in Holyoke about 30 years ago, later removing
to Sedgwick County, about midway between Holyoke and Julesburg, where he made
his home for many years. He is known to many of the older residents of the
Holyoke community. Funeral services for Mr. Clark were held in Julesburg
Wednesday, the body being brought here immediately afterward for burial.
In 1910 Sedgwick County, Colorado, George M. Clark is 30, born in Iowa, with Hattie E. 24, born in Nebraska, with dDortha M. 5, Della M. 3, and son Luverne E. 1.
In 1920 Sedgwick County, George M. is 42, Hattie 34, with Della 12, Luverne 10, and June 8.
In 1930 George, Hattie, farming, and Della - a telephone operator - are in Deuel County, Nebraska.

George Halleck Clark was born in Johnsonville, Illinois, May 24th, 1862, and
passed away in Canon City, Colorado, May 30th, 1952, at the age of 90 years and
6 days. He was the son of William C. and Fernado Durham Clark.
He came to Kansas in 1885. In 1887 he was married to Ida Wilson who preceded him
in death. To this union four children were born: Chris Clark and Oliver Clark of
Simpson, Carl Clark of Canon City, Colo.; and Mrs. Ida Struble of Glasco.
He went to Colorado about forty-five years ago where he made his home. In his
active years he was a farmer.
He was one of eight children, and is survived by one brother, Leonard Clark, of
Simpson, the four children, and other relatives and friends.

George and "Tackery" were in Saguache County in 1880, with parents Franklin and Sarinia Clark.
