Michael Zimbelmann

Michael cash-claimed a quarter in 6, 6N 48W in 1890.

There were a lot of Michael Zimbelmann's - one in St. Francis Kansas later, another in Sutton Nebraska, but these arrived later - 1892-1895.

Another Michael Zimbelmann married Katharine Fuhrer May 10, 1896 at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Sutton Nebraska (so he might be connected to the Rauscher, Jose, Becker, Schachterle families)

He might be the Michael Zimbelmann in 1900 Kane County Illinois, born Dec 1869 in Russia, immigrating in 1890, married to Katherina, with son Augusto, 2, born in Nebraska, a day laborer.

This family is in Kane County in 1910, now with two sons and a brother Jacob Zimbelmann, 25.

-------------------------------

There was another Zimbelman family - one census said Henry was born 1888 at Sterling, but Henry was in Sutton, Nebraska 1900-1910 and Howard County Nebraska 1930-1940

One tree said H. Michael Zimbelman and Katharina Christina (Peter) were married in 1876 in Odessa, Russia, had three children died in Russia, John Zimbelman born Feb 12, 1885 in Odessa, and then Emma November 20, 1885 in Sutton, Nebraska, marrying Alfred Studley.  Then the tree says they had an infant born and died between 1886 and 1888 in Colorado, Henry born April 9, 1889 dying January 24, 1967, and some census records list him as born in Colorado - one tree specifically says Sterling.  Later kids were Jacob born Sept 8, 1891, dying Jan 7, 1975, Lydia born Nov 3, 1893, marrying George Studley Nov 13, 1911, Alfred born Jan 18, 1897, marrying Christina Trautman Feb 27, 1921, an Bertha born Oct 2, 1900, marrying Peter Leth Sept 22, 1919.

Eva Peter, sister of Katharina, married Jakob Reichert

Dale Reichert writes; "My father, Peter Reichert, was born in Rohrbach. His father, Jacob Reichert, brought his family to St Francis in 1901.  My father's great grandfather was Johann Reichert [1811 Rohrbach-1904 Sutton], who brought his second wife and family to Sutton with one of those early groups that came from 1873-75. Johann's father was Andreas Reichert who was with the first families that started Rohrbach in 1809. I do want to mention that we ( Dale and Jim Griess) both share the name Ridinger in our great grandparents. You with a Jacob Ridinger as a great grandparent, and me with my great grandmother being Eva Ridinger Reichert. Her parents were George Peter and Anna M. Zimbelmann Ridinger. You mentioned Jacob Ridinger being a son or grandson of Georg Ridinger. My great grandmother Eva Ridinger was born in 1838 in Rohrbach. In those families at that time one generation could turn up the same names again in the next generation." From Sutton the families spread out in the US.

In 1880 Clay County, Nebraska, John "Reichard" is 65, Margret 53, with Andrew 25, Henry 23, Jacob 21, Michel 16, Hanna 12, and Peter 9.
