Sophia  (Schachterle) (Becker) (Jose) Billigmeier

Sophia Schachterle was the widow of Johann Friedrich Becker Jr. in Russia about 1879. Sophia was then widowed from Rev. Emanuel Joseph Jose Jr. in November 1887. This photo was taken between 1894 and 1900, with all of her children, when she returned to Colorado and settled a homestead directly west of her brother Gottfried Schachterle. Shortly after 1900, Sophia married Jacob Billigmeier and lived north of Sutton, Nebraska. She died there in September 1906. Her grave location is unknown but she may be buried in an unmarked grave near her sister Christine Trautman at Emanuel Reformed Cemetery (northwest of Sutton) or an unmarked grave near Jacob Billigmeier at Salem Reformed Church Cemetery (northeast of Sutton).

This is probably the Sophia Jose in 1900 Rockland precinct, born August 1851 in Russia, widowed, with kids Emma A. 16, Nebraska and Clara L. 15, South Dakota, and Samuel, 12, California.

A younger Sophia is a servant in the Robert Sanders household in 1900, born May 1881 in Nebraska. 

In 1910 Sophia is married to Jonas Grauberger, living in Leroy precinct, with Oscar 4, and Ralph 2.

In 1920 Leroy precinct they have Oscar 13, Ralph 12, Leora 8, Elmer 7. Earl 4, andJonas' aunt Cristina Reiter, 76.  Also with them is Sophie's brother Samuel, 32, born in California.

Clara Lydia Migendt, born Feb 4, 1886, died Sept 29, 1964, buried in Forest Lawn Cypress, California.  Death index says her mother's maiden name was Schachte.

Chas. C. Cannan married Mrs. Dora Roberson Aug 13, 1905 in Dunklin County, Missouri.
