In 1850 Coshocton County, Ohio William Harvey is 46, Rachel 37, both born in Pennsylvania.  Samuel I.. i s 17, Mary J. 13, Sarah L. 7, and Samuel Gerwin 5, all born in Ohio,.

In 1870 Tama County Samuel and Sarah have Adaline, Josephine, Hugh - eleven months.  His mother Rachel 58 is also with them.

In 1885 Harlan County, Nebraska, Samuel is 53, Sarah E. 45, with Ada 23, Josephine 20, Hugh R. 15, Horace I. 11, and his mother Rachel 73.  All the kids were born in Iowa.

Samuel is in Teller County, Colorado in 1900, widowed, living with sons Hugh and Horace.
Samuel I. Harvey cash-claimed a quarter in 29, 6N 48W - very near Thomas Bowles' claim - in 1891. He was there earlier, because he was delinquent on taxes on the improvements in 1890.

.  The stone in Frontier County has Samuel I Harvey - June 25-1832- April 17, 1918  - their daughter Rachel J. Harvey Logan 1862-1945 is also buried there. 

Sarah E. Harvey - Mar 17, 1841 -Aug 27 1889 is buried in Denver's Riverside Cemetery.

Samuel Irwin Harvey was born in Belmont, Belmont county, Ohio, June 25, 1832, his parents being William and Rachel [Irwin] Harvey. He was of a family of three children, of which, one, a sister, Mrs. Sarah Ramsdell of Tama City, Iowa, survives him.

In his early manhood he moved with his parents and sisters to Tama county, Iowa, where he engaged in farming and stock raising, for many years.

He was married to Sarah Electa Hanna, May 30, 1860. To this union was born six children, two of them, a son and a daughter, dying in infancy.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Sarah Ramsdell of Tama City, Iowa, and two sons and two daughters, Mr. Hugh R. Harvey and Horace Harvey of Garfield, Utah. Mrs. Luther M. Bowles of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. R. D. Logan of Stockville, Nebr.

He removed to Republican City, Nebr., in Sept. 1882, and afterwards to Denver, Colo., where his wife passed away in Aug. 1889, since which time he has lived principally with his children.

After a long and useful fife (sic) he died Wednesday morning at 1:30, April 17, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. D. Logan, aged 85 yrs., 9 mo., and 22 days. "The Faber", April 25, 1918, Stockville, Nebraska, page 1, column 2.

In 1880 Poweshiek County, Iowa, Samuel is a dairyman, 46, with Sarah G. 39 Ohio.   They have Addie L. 19, Josie R. 17, Hugh R.  9 and Horace I 6, all kids born in Iowa.

In 1885 Harlan County, Nebraska, Samuel is 53, Sarah 45, with Ada 23, Josephine 20, Hugh R. 15, and Horace Q. 11.  Rachel Harvey, 73 is also with them.

Samuel cash-claimed a quarter in 29, 6N 48W in 1891.

In 1900 Samuel I. Harvey, a stock raiser born June 1835 in Iowa,, widowed, is living in Teller County with his sons Hugh R. June 1870 and Horace I Aug 1873, both Iowa, both brick makers.
